I almost killed myself once, and was in the ICU, with broken bones everywhere and on ventilator, passed out for 11 days. Nothing hurt. After that, I was on the bed for 4 months, and then on wheelchair for a long, long time. And then I have titanium in my thigh bone, in my ankle, all of my right arm, and god knows where else. But it's not so scary. The only scary part that I couldn't take, was when I woke up sometimes in the middle at the ICU, and then there was absolutely nobody around me. Only curtains. And I'm kinda claustrophobic, so yea. I only wanted to see my mom, or any familiar face that I knew around me all the time. That's the scary part.

@nobodyishome Aside from my son I have the worst family ever and no parents. I try though :) Are you okay now?
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@AnnabelleLeigh I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you find your family in your son :) I am alright, I don't know. Not really. So ranting on SW.

@nobodyishome Thank you. I do. I send you prayers. 🩷🌻
There are those who drop dead of a heart attack and never knew what hit them. Then there are those like my mother, literally eaten alive by pancreatic cancer, kicking and screaming and resisting death every step of the way.
So in large part it very much depends on the situation.

@OlderSometimesWiser I am very sorry to hear that. I don't think anyone should have to die suffering that way.

I have seen people who died smiling, and some who fought it all the way.
In my experience, what makes the difference is whether or not the individual has faith in something bigger than themselves.

I have no experience, so can't say much. I believe in reincarnation, so you have to go through it again and again until you resolve it.

It depends on how.

A friend of mine who died from cancer said to just think of it as you are finally going to get your reward and to not be afraid. He died shortly after telling me that and his words of comfort will be with me forever.

I say its easy but guess it would depend on the situation ive looked death in the eyes a few time an honestly i felt nothing but this peace that i cant describe
AnnabelleLeigh · F
@Beautyinbroken To me it feels peaceful too. As long as no suffering is taken to get there.

I think accepting that it's going to happen, no matter what, is hard but not impossible. All we can do I hope it happens quickly.

Depends on the individual and their situation. The only thing I can say for sure is that it will eventually happen to all of us.
Honestly, living is often harder than dying. I'd rather be dead than to keep on going through what I am for the rest of my life.

Depends how long the process is drawn out. I don't think crucifixion was easy for example
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
Generally speaking I would imagine the process itself is never easy.

The ones who have the experience, aren’t going to tell.
I couldn't figure it out at 10 but that's not saying much

The act is easy, but who wants to?
Beautyinbroken · 36-40, F
Easy
MaBalzEsHari · M
As I have not ever done that...........its kind of hard to say. Try it....let us know, I'll wait for your report.

Depends on how you die I would guess.
In some ways dying is not hard because you don't have to do anything. It comes whether you want it or not.
On another hand, dying is incredibly hard because it is slow and painful and also mentally hard because you have a lot of time to think about the fact that you will be no longer living or what you will be leaving behind and the unknown is also scary.
At the end of the day we are all moving towards death each and every moment that we live so in a sense we are aging aka dying right now. How does it feel??

very difficult. studied bio eng in college: life violently resists death expending enormous energy to defend against it
