hartfire · 70-79
Lift 30 kilos.
See the detail on the horizon.
See spiderwebs before I walk into them.
Distinguish between cafe noise and the words of my coffee partner.
Fall without braking bones.
Remember a one-hour uni lecture word-perfectly.
Get juicy in response to the smell of fresh young male sweat.
Stand or sit upright for more than 10 minutes without gradually increasing pain.

Trust people
hartfire · 70-79
@Captainjackass
Would you forgive me for suggesting that you develop better powers of micro observation when you're with others?
Of course, everyone is capable of, and can't avoid, sometimes making mistakes.

But I believe most people mean well most of the time,
and only do wrong when either they're not paying sufficient attention to possible consequences,
or they're overwhelmed or overstressed by a particular circumstance.

Some people do deliberately set out to use or damage others for their own gain -
and they're usually pretty easy to recogise.
Perhaps 1 in 26 people has some degree of Narcisstic Personality Disorder,
another 1 in 26 is pretty badly Borderline.
Others are addicts of one sort or another.
Some are intensely ADHD,
others have intermittent bouts of psychosis.
But all of these are exceedingly easy to learn to spot within the first few minutes of meeting them.

And the appropriate response is to stay polite but avoid getting involved with them on any level.
You can look up the signs and symptoms, memorize them, and learn to identify them with a little practise.

One is only vulnerable to a con-artist if one is greedy.
Only susceptible to a seducer if one can't create a stable and loving partnership or satisfy oneself.
Only liable to stray if one hasn't accepted responsibility for how we relate with our life partner.

If anyone is ever on the brink of temptation to do anything that might cause harm, each and all of us can seek help to avoid it.

The 2nd part of trusting others starts with being trustworthy oneself.
If you are honest and have integrity, you tend to recognise it in others.

And if anything I've said doesn't apply to you, I apologize.
Please just treat it as generalisations with all the potential flaws that can entail.
No two situations are perfectly alike.

Attract women. 🤣

It's almost embarrassing how many female roommates I had, living with me, long ago. Not like I was wealthy either, in any way, then or now.

Smoke weed. It turns me into a paranoid loon
@Youwereexpectingajoke i'm the opposite...i actually hated weed in my teen years. stopped in my twenties and most of my thirties i didn't use...i got back into it in my 40s and now mid 50s with no paranoia but i only use once or twice a week , usually at home.
Youwereexpectingajoke · 31-35, M
@beermeplease
I'm happy to hear that. It can be very nice to have a smoke from time to time. It just does bad stuff to me personally now.
