unfortunately you get more of a response if you display a certain colour, or make a certain noise that people recognize as suffering (it's the same at hospitals). that's the problem when youre trying to be strong and not bother anyone. you don't express yourself properly and honestly until you do hit rock bottom.

Honestly, sometimes people don't realize we need anything.
And if we ask in a way that doesn't sound urgent, then some assume we can handle the situation, or someone else could help.
When they see you struggling to a degree that cannot be ignored, then they help you. I am not sure they are bad people; if they were, they would not help even then.

That’s because people care. I think we all sense when distress is at breaking point, so a lot of people will step in and help x
Sometimes it’s hard to tell when someone is having a hard time until they really start to crack 😞
