I own a farm, work from sun up to sun down most days. Plus used to work a factory job.

I lost almost everything when I ended up with Epilepsy. Lost my job for medical discrimination, and now I have a lawsuit against my former employer. It is going to jury trial.

That's why I'm broke. My wife can't work anymore, she has a brain tumor and can't collect SSI. (Don't know why) The farm is the only thing I have that is barely holding us afloat.

Sure, I have applied for many jobs. But soon as my epilepsy shows up in the medical background check. I lose the job offer. So I am trying to figure out a way that I make more money off my farm without killing myself at the same time.

Not at all. Hard working people in regular day jobs can still be poor. Hard working fully qualified nurses tend to remain poor all of their careers because nursing is a vocational job. As is teaching, being a police officer, being a fire fighter, paramedic.

A married couple where one is a nurse and the other is a teacher could both be considered poor even though they both work full time.

They are "just" in massive economic trouble mostly cause everyone thinks they deserved it.

For the most part yes, all you have to see to realize it is to see someone who comes from a place of extreme poverty and no opportunities flourish when they get to the US.

That would be cruel some get a poor start in life due to circumstances out of their control and its so difficult to make up the $$ in this era!
