Older family members always said you feel your old injuries in winter weather.

The ribs I broke in my twenties, the wrist I broke when I was 6 to the degree where I almost lost my left hand, the arm that was struck by a loose piece of hangar roof in high winds.

They were right. When it gets frosty now I feel them ache. It鈥檚 no bad thing, every ache has a story.

A little older you'll be a great weather man馃檪
Positivity to everything, lol
The sprained/compressed wrist that clicked for 3 years; the twice broken metacarpal when I hold a heavy mug; two broken finger tips, bruised/fractured knuckles.
My herniated disks, especially cervical and thoracic.

The winter brings reminders of every injury I sustained as a young gymnast 馃槱 I have early symptoms of arthritis in my foot where it was fractured.

How is your left hand now? Fully functional or is there numbness, restricted range of motion?
WintaTheAngle41-45, M
@deadgerbil No I was lucky to heal extremely well. It just aches when the cold gets to it.

Mine tells me a story everyday, but the weather does make it worse. Just old bones. 馃ぃ

Yep. I broke my arm when I was 13, falling out of a tree. I've got a middle plate in it because it broke so close to the elbow. It aches slightly whenever there's an impending change in the weather.

Very useful tool.

@LordShadowfire you are a walking barometer, I hope the weather station uses you
WintaTheAngle41-45, M
@LordShadowfire That鈥檚 how I broke my wrist. I slipped, overbalanced, grabbed a branch to steady myself. It snapped and the next thing I know I鈥檓 face down in the grass.
@WintaTheAngle I was grabbing branches, and I think I must have hit my head on one, because there's a memory gap. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground and my arm hurt.
