Next year before july of 2024! Two careers one of 32 years and the second of 10 years . Plus 3 years of hard labor after college and first career. 45 years is good enough! Plus, The house gets paid off .

scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
A good one 😊@Degbeme
PatKirby · M
@Degbeme

Like that, gonna use that 😀!
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@PatKirby By all means.
Are you kidding? With prices jacked up since Pandemic/Supply crisis and inflation? Pretty soon we may need to take out a mortgage loan for groceries.....
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Yes, and the best decision I made for a long time
PatKirby · M
@nedkelly

No more rat race for you Ned?

Semi - retired. Retired from state govt 4 years ago, but, now I am working part time on contract. Its what they call "double dipping"
CoffeeFirst · 56-60, F
I was saying 10 years....but then 3 years flew by. Who knows?!
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@CoffeeFirst every year I say 10 more years 😅
In my mind, I retired 10 years ago. Unfortunately, no one else knows it
HumanEarth · F
No, but might be forced to due to my epilepsy/seizure disorder coming back.

So I might be forced into retirement against my will
HumanEarth · F
I went from June of 1996 to May of 2023 without a seizure. I lost my job from seizures on top of it
HumanEarth · F
I been having a seizure 3 times a month since May of 2023
@HumanEarth I'd think you'd be able to file for disability given those circumstances.
I don't work, haven't in years
@SW-User still a full time mom and wife but doing something I love even though the pay sucks
SW-User
@saragoodtimes I've seen you in the best. I am aware!
@SW-User thankful we can survive without me working
PatKirby · M
Three or four years to go then moving to Panama.
AbbeyRhode · F
Far from it, and I never will be.
Ferric67 · M
@AbbeyRhode that's me too
SW-User
I am temporarily. I'll be busy again very soon
helenS · 36-40, F
I will retire when I die 😏
@helenS DITTO!
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@helenS
I'm with you Helen
Planning to retire early summer of 2025. Depends on the economy and my investments.
SW-User
too busy making easy money
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@SW-User What are you doing to make this easy money?
SW-User
@Musicman well I'm fully employed and been in my position for 23 years and been working from home since the pandemic almost 4 years now?
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@SW-User That's awesome! What type of work do you do?
TexChik · F
Retread maybe, but not retired. I am not sure I ever will.
Spumoni · 46-50, M
Had 13 more years, that changed to 18 to 20
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@Spumoni dang ☹️
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Yes.
Last worked in 2017 retired in 2018.
smiler2012 · 61-69
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@smiler2012 I’m so very happy for you and so very jealous
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@smiler2012 More time for your favourite pastime - break and enters
Northerner · 70-79, M
I retired 3 times and hated it.lol
Torsten · 36-40, M
no where close, thank fully. I cant imagine what i would do with all that free time if i was not working. I need to work. I like having a purpose outside of being a parent, if that makes sense
Northerner · 70-79, M
@Torsten Like I said in my post I retired 3 times and still working . I felt worthless not working
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Northerner you get it. Thats exactly how i think i would feel. Outside of work, my worth is being a father but my son is a teenager now and will soon be a man and will need me a lot less. I need a purpose outside of being a parent, despite that being my main purpose
Coldplay · 61-69, M
Nope. I wish.
SW-User
@DearAmbellina2113 you are still too young!
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Had hoped to be by 50. But endless periods of 'economic downturn' since i started work mean i doubt i'll ever be able to retire since everything i've saved is nowhere near enough.
Another five years to go.
I wish I could retire now already , but I still have to pay bills and accumulate more for after I retire
Bill1372 · 51-55, M
I am… I have another job though. I have expensive boating/fishing habits and golf. Need a little something coming in to cover that
SW-User
I am. Initially disabled. But that classification changes at full social security retirement age.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
my body says yes, social security says no... 🤔
Teslin · M
Unfortunately not yet. 1 - 3 years, hopefully no more.
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
I will be for the Public once I get my career going next year.... hopefully I can work my dream at home. I have a studio in my room.

Hopefully God will grant me this next year and continue my career as a Manga artist.

Hopefully I want God to give me the strength to do animation....do I have enough though? Nobody is helping me but God.

My fear for my career...I suck at writing no matter what. -_-

I can do voice overs. Drawing. Possibly music, it depends on limited schedule.

Writing is my worse enemy XD
Yes, Covid retired me a few years ago.
mksworld · 46-50, C
What's retirement? 8-)
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
Never gonna happen
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
Yes. I have been retired for a little over a year now.
I am enjoying Oregon Duck football as a season ticket holder, bowling, camping, and of course some adult beverages every now and then. :)
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@aldnazmeister you are so lucky! 😊
Montanaman · M
1 - 2 years left 🥴😎👷
OliRos · 22-25, F
I've not been in bed long...
MrGomco · 36-40, M
I saved a lot of money during two years and got retired in 2018 for almost one and a half year, kind of sabbatical time, that was a bad choice, I got sick, I felt alone, bored and empty inside, all my friends were working, that just was terrible.
Synyster · 51-55, M
No, not yet. I’ve finally have my retirement job as a director for a federal government department. 4 years and I’ll have a great pension to finally retire.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
Just over a little over 3 years is what I’m looking at. Even then I’ll still probably do some consulting work. But that will be on my time and when I want to.
I hope to be next year but i will keep my work going for a bit longer
matthewjames · 18-21, M
well I dont work so is that mean im retire
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Yes, I retired 6 years ago.
Jimmy2016 · 61-69, M
🤔.............I haven't decided yet? May semi?............
Ontheroad · M
A long time ago and enjoying it!
I will never really get to retire..
Raaii · 22-25, F
no I've not even started yet
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
Not even close.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@Harmonium1923 I keep saying 10 more years
SW-User
Hopefully in 8 years 🤞🤞
SW-User
