@Pikachu PLEASE WHY ARE YOU LIKE THAT... They can help someone frlm drowning but there is no way they can just help someone like that. Do you think they would see a diabetic person drowning and then after they figure out that person is diabetic they would imediatelly give them money for the treatments??? Maybe i dont have a point there but you are just seeking for some fight arent you... Because there was nothing to fight about, its what they would do. therws no point in arguing + its the internet you aeent going to change someone mind like that...
after they figure out that person is diabetic they would immediately give them money for the treatments?
No, i was just pointing out that saving someone is saving someone whether you're hauling them out of the water or whether you're contributing to a system that will give them the healthcare they need.
The only difference is that pulling someone out of the water doesn't cost you money. For some reason many people seem to make a distinction there. I don't see one.
Buddy there says he would help anyone in need....but not if he as to pay taxes to do it. That seems like a hypocritical position to me.
It's important to me that we help those less fortunate then ourselves.
Of course. We don't see Republicans seething in hate toward anyone who disagrees with them. Can't say the same about Democrats. I had a guy on here who asked me to block him so he wouldn't have to "waste" a block on me. So civil, these Democrats.
@Pikachu Kinda busy. Here's why Republicans need to fear the intentions of Democrats: https://www.theblaze.com/news/national-democratic-party-official-deprogram-trump-supporters
Oh let's not lose focus, bud. Your contention here is that republicans aren't hateful towards those who disagree with them. You've been given counter examples of that. Submitting an example you feel is indicative of ill will from democrats in no way bolsters your position.
Tell ya what, you wait till you're less busy and see if you can come up with a thoughtful response.
thought i'd share this for all the republicans here /w victim complexes
If I saw someone drowning & all I knew was that they were registered Republican, I would still save them if at all feasible. There are reasons why someone might register as a Republican aside from racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, and classism.
Hi, Nim. All this fuss about politics. Life is precious so, though I don' t swim, I would attempt to save the person. How would one tell which politics they were? Would it say on their t-shirt or would they be yelling it out?
😆 taking politics differences out of the equation would your conscience let you do that . i would save you and ned and i cannot swim and the fact you are united fans 😆 [nimbus]
@windinhishair You wouldn’t want to be me? Hell, you don’t have the intelligence to even be my beagle. I don’t hate lefttards; I find them to be sadly amusing. Despite more than a hundred years of negative results, every generation seems to have to learn for itself why Venezuela is the ultimate result of silly leftist policies.
You can cling to the idea that there is no evil in the world and everybody can be saved. You and the Jesus freaks have that in common.
@redredred Oh I believe there is evil in the world. You are proof positive of that. I just don't think we need to kill everyone to get rid of it.
You couldn't pay me enough money to take your place. I at least have self-respect. And you wouldn't want to take an intelligence test with me. You'd fail miserably.
Yes. Even though they might be ungrateful or take my actions for granted. Even though they might sue me for misidentifying their gender or saying something politically incorrect in the heat of the moment. I’d still save them. It’s code. But if any of the aforementioned DID occur and I was sued and I saw them drowning again? Absofuckinlutely not! Bye stupid. Glug glug glug
I'm neither a Republican nor a Democrat. With all things being equal, yeah I'd save them, whether Republican or Democrat or whatever. Now if they were some serial killer, I'd let them drown whether they're a Republican or Democrat or whatever.
Generally going to try to save the life, regardless of their political affiliation. In not really a Democrat though. I'm more anti- Republican than pro- Democrat. But my problem is that I disagree on what is better for the future of our country and mankind as a whole, I don't actually hate them. Though I often fear they hate me.
You're not upsetting me, you're validating my point with every post. You claimed that Republicans are the ones with the conscience and yet you're happy to let people who can't afford the same security that you can suffer. You betray your hypocrisy.
I had a coworker who thought like you...then he got liver failure at 28. Didn't do drugs, ate healthy, never touched a drop of drink but he was dying... and suddenly universal healthcare seemed like a much better idea to him. I didn't need any major medical intervention for most of my life and yet i worked hard every day and was still happy to pay a portion of that hard work into a system that i wasn't using but where my neighbours could benefit from my prosperity. So which of use has the conscience? The one who's happy to give of themselves to help their neighbour or the one who reckons those less fortunate are just lazy and don't deserve help?
I worked hard for years and paid into a system i wasn't using. And then i almost died. I spent three days in the ICU hooked up to a myriad of intravenous lines, my blood being sampled every hour, nurses and specialists coming to see me constantly, tens of thousands of dollars of medical care every day...and i walked out that hospital with a bill of $0.00
Yes I am.
So remind me what the bible's stance is on helping those less fortunate than yourself? Was it "They should get a job"? Go on....
My point is that you put your own welfare at a premium while disregarding the needs of those less fortunate. And you claim that conscience is a republican virtue. You say you're a god fearing man even though you ignore what the bible says about helping your neighbour.
So you can run away from the hard truth. So, "god fearing man", i'm going to leave you with a bible quote which addresses your particular sin:
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus Philippians 2:4
