Democrats killed Charlie kirk

So a man claiming we need these shootings to maintain a right to defend ourselves against tyranny has died from someone exercising the right he protected while engaging in tyranny against a minority? Do I have that correct?

@Vin53 LOGICAL ??? You have no common decency
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Midlifemale says
Democrats cause most of the violence and crime in this country
Sorry, but the data says the OPPOSITE. The data says we have higher levels of of murder in states with lax gun laws -- RED states.

per capita gun deaths by state red vs blue

America's gun homicides in perspective 2020

Since STATES pass (or don't pass) gun control laws, let's look at how states correlate with city homicide rates.

Gun homicide rates in our 300 most populous cities; separated into red vs blue states

https://www.americanprogressaction.org/article/cities-in-blue-states-experiencing-larger-declines-in-gun-violence-in-2023/

WOW! Cities in blue states tend to be safer!! Proving that gun safety laws work!!
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues thats why the national guard has to be deployed in blue cities because crime is so out of control
@Midlifemale Too bad for you that the evidence says the opposite🤣😂

BTW, Birmingham AL leads the list for murder, followed by St Louis MO & Memphis TN

We don’t know that.
This is tragic. Charlie Kirk was a man with strong opinions.
He used words. Some lunatic used a bullet.
This hatred for the other political parties has got to stop.
We as people have to learn how to respect people and their opinions that we may not agree with.
Funny thing: when there's a mass shooting, you right-wingers blame a mentally ill lone gunman. But in this case, you're blaming ALL democrats. Doesn't that level of hypocrisy give you whiplash??

As for Charlie Kirk, he sacrificed his life for lax gun laws.

Further irony: Kirk rejects any empathy for or from his supporters.

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that – it does a lot of damage."

@ElwoodBlues Cherry-pick much?
@sunsporter1649 OK, here are the Kirk quotes in context, along with some others.

"I think it's worth to have a cost of unfortunately some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the 2nd Amendment. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe."
Charlie Kirk at the Salt Lake City campus of Awaken Church on April 5, 2023.

And Charlie Kirk did NOT want your empathy!

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that – it does a lot of damage."
— Charlie Kirk on 'The Charlie Kirk Show', Oct. 12 2022

Kirk opposed the Civil Rights Act: "I have a very, very radical view on this, but I can defend it, and I've thought about it," Kirk said. "We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s," he said at a December 2023 political conference hosted by his Turning Points USA group.

In a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson, Kirk also reportedly compared pandemic vaccine requirements to apartheid. In a February 2024 Instagram post, he also talked about the "great replacement" -- a widely debunked conspiracy theory-- suggesting undocumented immigrants entering the United States to replace white Americans.

Overt racism: "I'm sorry. If I see a Black pilot, I'm going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified,'" Kirk said during a 2024 podcast episode with fellow rightwing activist Jack Posobeic.

I can assure you the Democrats have done nothing so imaginative and effective in decades.

Dems aren't the ones who own guns either.

@BizSuitStacy

What projection, he opposed solutions to gun violence, and he was murdered by gun violence, that's not projection, that is life.

You people have no self awareness

This is one of the biggest issues.
Republicans faked an assassination attempt and killed 2 people. Why wouldn't they sacrifice Kirk to blame Democrats? You seem to be fooled already and they haven't found the shooter or in this case professional marksman.

@boudinMan I'm sure that man is just as guilty as Lee Harvey Oswald.
As always.. there’s a really long list..

Charlie Kirk becomes the sacrifice he was willing for others to make

@Vin53
Exactly! Charlie was Trump's brains. Without Charlie, Trump will be brainless.

No. You have it backwards.

This was a hit that Trump himself directly authorised because he knows the Epstein net is closing around him.

He needed a distraction.
Vin53 · M
That Charlie Kirk was fatally shot while excusing gun violence standing under a banner that read "Prove Me Wrong" will always be fking hilarious to me.

I think I would have been less surprised if a bolt of lightning had set his tent on fire on that clear and sunny day!
Umm no. That is objectively false.
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
Most likely, but we'll have to wait and see.
They haven’t even found the shooter yet…
@crownedwithlaurel97 but we understand the effects of having guns in our society. And that's important to avoid!, here
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
An assassin killed Kirk. We don't know the motives yet.
Pisciatto1 · 26-30, M
No good dems
swirlie · 31-35
@Pisciatto1
...no good? Was the shooter's objective achieved? If not, only then could you say he was no good.
Guns are bipartisan. You need the violence to prevent peace and socialism in the homeland.
Guns. And everyone here is GLEEFULLY chatting without the subject of gun control! Gaslighting the left! You got this. The anti violence people are totally crazy and out of power, poor and ready to let you blow each other away, but you are!
Great.

Haters anyway most likely one of them since they are so full of it.. but we’ll see
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Right. At a debate at an ultra-conservative university.
swirlie · 31-35
What ever-r-r-r... 😏
swirlie · 31-35
The shooter is still at large, which means they don't know who killed your hero.
Bhs123 · 36-40, F
@swirlie demprobably paid him
swirlie · 31-35
@Bhs123
I think it's an inside Republican job. The Republican Party no longer exist in America, so I think the Republicans were trying to take their country back and maybe they started with Charlie. Gee, I wonder who's next?
