ohh no i might be cancelled..

today at work, i happen to come across a trans woman and she blew a gasket over me and pulled out the phone and aiming it at me and the whole typical bullshit that younger people do these days to play victim and post that shit online for internet clout from other losers with a victim complex.
My crime was saying "sorry guys" as i tried to make my way past them.
the horror of it all.
Anyway if you end up seeing a handsome bearded fellow on a trans victim clout chase online video, that would be me haha

Tbh the best thing to do in a situation like that is to act chill and dismissive as heck.

like just say something like: "okay okay, it was just a matter of speech"

or something like: "um...? Okay?"

and act distracted like there's something more important on your mind.

maybe slightly confused at the fuss.

If they follow, head towards a private space like a public restroom and if they continue following, ask them why they're trying to record you in private while using the restroom.

if you're reactive, then you fall right into their scenario.
and their over reaction will seem justified.
They want a scene, don't give them a scene.

regardless of why someone is acting like this, don't try to reason with them and don't try to win arguments.
The more you try to explain, the more ammo they will have and the more they have to take out of context and possibly edit later.

If you're dismissive, people will wonder why the heck you're being attacked 😅

Maybe secretly record if you can, not to amplify things, but just to keep your receipts, so to speak

@Fishy yeah i was more just stunned aye. You see it happen online with all those videos out but seeing it in person is something else and its so obvious its all just for online attention and them using others to get it.
I hate that it happened while i was working though cause my reaction would have been so different. I dont care bout online hate or whatever, I do care about someone filming me and posting it online for their gain.
That shit is messed up

nothing much happened though. He/she went on a little rant about not being called a guy because its disrespectful and i said "and you dont think its disrespectful to film someone without permission?" and he/she was huffing and puffing and quickly the person he/she was with just said they were leaving now and thats it really.

@Torsten saying "guys" in that manner is just a figure of speech basically. I say it all the time, to girls and guys. It's common. And I bet, it's totally putting you in a spotlight, for possibly millions of people to watch and judge you. Although I'm pretty sure most people would have your side in this case. Wait a minute......the term 'guys' means guys AND girls nowadays.It's not uncommon for a waitress to say,"Are you guys okay?" talking to my wife and I at a restaurant.
Secondly,there's no way in THY HELL am I gonna call you a lady when you have a full,cultivated beard.If you want to be a 'gurl',I'll play along if you femme yourself up a bit.A nice wig or hairdo,the right amount of makeup, and freaking SHAVE! @gurlwatcher22 yeah its very common to refer to 2 or more people as "guys".
I sum it up to entitlement and that being some people are so entitled that they try to dictate preferred speech on others and even more so when it doesnt line up with reality.
This trans person did not have a beard but had long hair with more bald spots than i actually have lol. It looked like a man playing dress up.

If you're trans and you want people to treat you a certain way, you need to put a lot more effort into how you portray yourself
