Is there any wisdom you’d want to pass on to next generation?

Make your children learn something that they do twice a week. It can be a type of sport, piano lessons, ballet, doesn't matter. It's fine if they want to change it at some point, but don't let them change it over and over again. Make them stick with something early on.

This is so important because it teaches kids from they are small to not become quitters, and that is one of the most important skills to have as a young adult. It is people who quit when things get hard, who don't find happiness in life, and it's a very difficult pattern to break in adulthood.

It also has positive side effects of giving them something to be proud of, boosting their self esteem from a young age. It enhances their feeling of identity, and opens the doors to a community that they will always be part of.

It is such a small thing which does SO much good.

nobody gets out of this life alive

live it up
but not so much you can't live it down

east dessert first every once in a while

and for Pete's sake if you aren't related to them, they don't sign your paycheck, or have a gun on you - it doesn't really matter what they think of you.

Looking to my now adult kids it seems that I already did as much as I could.
That is, they are better than I was.

Read lots of books. They're a better source of information than the majority of the internet.

@swirlie Is it still worth reading?

I'm sure a dusty old copy could be purchased.

What other books did you examine?

@swirlie Thanks for the non-recommendation.
Maybe if we did what our moms wanted - and without making a face - like eating our spinach, washing behind our ears and (for the guys) putting the lid down after peeing her life would've been less stressful.

Dont trust the government

Government and corporations just want to use you and spy on you

Go back to the old analog ways of doing things, leave computers and technology out of your life and vehicles

Be ready for a mass genocide of human beings bought on by your own government

Learn wilderness survival skills if you want to live though it. Learn to hunt without guns, learn how to make weapons from what mother nature has and so on and so on.

Be prepared for the worst thing you can think of. Mental pepping is key. Easy life is ending the nasty shit is coming, better be ready

@beetlebumdont
I hear you. Sex ruined my passive disposition and now I can't control my aggression in crowded bars.

Yeah but it takes a long time to cover it all

Invest early and often. Stay out of debt and learn to live on what you make.

Don't vote for anyone who claims to know how to make America great again.
Greatness is earned, it is not manufactured in a candy factory.
