Don’t let your religion tell you who you can and can’t love💖
BabyDolls · 22-25, T
@ihatelyf no it’s okay!
@BabyDolls why are you Trans?

You can still be a Christian
You just gotta try not to do stuff like that - it's talked about in The New Testament, so still relevant.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Matt85 According to the bible, one cannot do much of ANYthing. 🙄
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@CestManan There is still lots you can do 😂just dont do anything in The 10 Commandments.

Religious people fixate on denouncing homosexuality , and homosexuality being a sin, yet they have sex without marriage. You're fine sinning it seems as long as you're doing it straight. I see no one posting about quiting fornication. Ask yourself why that is? It's because this guilt you're experiencing is socially manufactured, me thinks. And we live in times where it is okay to direct your insecurities towards the homosexual segment of the population and their homosexuality, rather than work on your own spiritual lackings.

Before you decide what to do, careful not to waste your youth and life mirroring social expectations.

I'm blessed (no pun intended) by a lack of belief in a god, so I can't exactly empathize with the dilemma you face, and all I can say is to be true to yourself.

For me, religion is a construct and how you feel personally is what is real. If you feel drawn to her, then explore your feelings, explore who you are, and if there is a god worth believing in, he/she will not abandon you.
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
If your a Christian and saying what your saying and if you believe in Christ then you surely believe in a loving God that's the whole point of Christianity.
What's attacking you is your own thinking .
Not God or Christianity

You have a very long, long bumpy and troublesome road ahead of you. Especially if you don't readjust your beliefs or preferences.

One will eventually have to out weigh the other.

FYI the majority usually take the preference route. That's simply a biology choice.

No longer a societal/religious/moral choice.
Fa8393 · 41-45, M
@DeWayfarer actually it still is a moral choice .We don't all have to be influenced by an identity policy of politics.
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@Fa8393 how is it a moral choice? Sexual preferences don't harm anyone.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Fa8393 try to stop breathing. Biology always out weights thoughts.

No matter what type of thought, be it: societal, religious, moral, or political.

Often it can be your own peer group that offer the way forward. There is such diversity even within any one religion. Many look towards texts and doctrines, others towards love, mercy and compassion.

The truth will set us free. What is truth?

I hope you are surrounded by those who would look towards the beatitudes in St Matthew rather than the 10 Commandments, the truth writ upon human hearts rather than "sacred" books.

All the best for your life's journey.

@silkydrawers I don't think she feels this is important to her . Maybe to you it might be . Don't use here emotions to influence her .
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
I don't think Jesus ever said anything about homosexuality, so don't worry.

"Be who you are and say what you feel,
because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
-Dr. Seuss

You are who you are....don't let anyone or any religion convince you otherwise. You will be better off just following your own instincts and doing what you feel is best for you.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@dietmountaindew really your religious convictions do not come into it really as how you feel is not a crime . we all have emotions and feelings towards others maybe not acceptable in the eyes of the ignorant bigots but just see where it takes you with your friend

Spiritual love has no gender.. don't get confused with physical sex. Love is and was forever spiritual, for we mingle as spirits. The kiss may not be unfounded but well founded while you were mingling.
Tonydang · M
Might be something you need to really think about there’s nothing wrong with experimenting might give you more of a idea if it’s something you want to continue
There's probably no gods. You can keep being Christian, just ignore the parts of the religion you don't like, that's what everyone does.
Chicks are so hawt.. even other chicks dig em

Never heard Jesus say. Do not scissor thy scrumptious crumpets
Don't justify. No such thing as accident in such matters.
Don't ruin your parents respect.

The whole point of Christianity is love ... so what's wrong with loving people??

Go for it xx

“Accidentally kissed”?
This makes your whole post questionable.
Is your friend bi? Getting the impression this was not a simple kiss...
