High streets are pretty dead as shops go out of business and local councils are rinsing business for every taxable penny.

Which means much of anything you are going to look for is online which in turn often sees companies advertising products they expect to have available but don't yet because their expected suppliers aren't even sure they'll get it in time.

Since leaving the EU this is a common feature for day to day consumables let alone Christmas one-offs.

I made the decision to give money this year.
Only question is whether I risk postal delivery or try and ping it via my phone.

But I fully expect SW to blow up as silly season draws near.

I am nearly finished with my Christmas shopping - only a couple trinkets left to buy and then it's done. Menus are already planned for each family gathering. Christmas cards will be mailed the day after Thanksgiving and decorations will go up that weekend. Then I'll sit back and enjoy the season without the rush and hassle. Yeah. Over acheiver this time of year. 🤷🏼‍♀

Since the only thing I will be doing for Christmas is cooking for a friend, and hanging a wreath on my door, and taking out my tiny Christmas decorations, I am not worried about mercantile hype.
