Tough one in the UK.
High streets are pretty dead as shops go out of business and local councils are rinsing business for every taxable penny.
Which means much of anything you are going to look for is online which in turn often sees companies advertising products they expect to have available but don't yet because their expected suppliers aren't even sure they'll get it in time.
Since leaving the EU this is a common feature for day to day consumables let alone Christmas one-offs.
I made the decision to give money this year.
Only question is whether I risk postal delivery or try and ping it via my phone.
But I fully expect SW to blow up as silly season draws near.
So if it's important to you, post away.

@Picklebobble2 So many shops are closing at an alarming rate and with little money about I can only see it increasing.
Happy Christmas!
