When do your Christmas decorations come down? Or did you even put any up this year?

I wait until at last New Year’s Day to take them down, usually until 5-6th January but this year I might keep my tiny one up in my bedroom until the spring when I can put my Easter decorations up.

When I feel that it's lighter

Not put any decorations up for quite a few years now.But Mrs Northerner always insisted they stay up until the 12th night.lol

@LadyBronte apart from the tree we have not got many decorations up our christmas tree and christmas cards probably will come down after new year

The Epiphany, the 13th day of Christmas. If you start counting on Dec 25th. Or the day after the 12th day of Christmas.

The Epiphany is a part of the Liturgical calendar and thus part of social calendars for many Christian societies. Like it's also the beginning of the Carnival or Mardi Gras season, also called the 3 Kings Day. The 3 kings traveled 12 days following the star to find and adore Jesus. Their arrival at Bethlehem marked the recognition of Jesus's significance to the whole world.

Day or 2 after new years. My town picks up the trees on Friday 1/5.

I always put them up kinda early…to the point where when Christmas finally rolls around it feels like they’ve been up forever…so they come down early too. I’ve already got a bookcase placed where the tree was. I’m that quick.

Twelfth Night.

I don't put many up anyway, don't until a few days before Christmas; this year, Christmas Eve.

Put them up absurdly early as some people and many shop-keepers seem to think necessary, and they just become part of the furniture by Christmas Eve.

Ours usually come down right on/after New Year’s Day. It’s a bit of a pain with a big tree.

I only have a small tabletop Christmas tree that I've had for a few years now. I don't go all out with Christmas decorations. I just don't have that sort of energy.

Most will come down before I go back to work on Tuesday next week, but I’ll leave some up just to make the dark of winter a bit cozier.

I am pretty adamant about getting them down no later than June or July.

When everyone else does around two-weeks to ten days after New Year's day.

My wife insists that they stay up until New Year's Day.

I didn’t bother with decorating for Christmas this year.

my son takes them down on the 1st January every year

I helped my mom decorate. I myseld dont bother.

Today? No way? Much too soon.

The few I put up come down after Epiphany.

When they stop working. I usually get about six or seven years out of them. 😉
