My wife was going through a period of about a year where she was fainting unexplainably a few times. We were concerned about epilepsy, but the neurologist said it was just synapses or syncope.
I remember as a kid there were classmates who would faint. My mom used to say they must not have gotten enough to eat for breakfast.

Could be any number of reasons from being overwhelmed to serious medical conditions.
As a kid I fainted from heatstroke. I was just too hot.
I've known people fainting because they were drunk. 🤷🏻♂

One time it was from not eating all day and then standing in a hot garage. A neighbor was showing me ceramic pieces that she had just fired from her kiln, it was in the month of August and the garage was overheated. I probably needed to have had some salt and got a bit dehydrated too.

Seeing blood. I cut my hand on a corn beef tin, walked out of the kitchen to find the first-aid box then passed out and smacked my head on the radiator, ending up in the hospital. They pulled a nurse out of the children's A&E especially, apparently because it was facial and she was really good at stitching but I think it might have been more because I was freaking out and telling everyone I was going to look like Frankenstein's sister and needed a babies nurse lol. The scars not too bad lol. It was a tad over dramatic. 😂

Mixture of hypertension meds, an ED pill, and alcohol -- a cocktail headed for disaster. And on a first date, as well. But out of it I got a new partner for a decade.

A reaction to dental anaesthetic. I wasn't warned not to travel alone on public transport afterwards, just given a sheet of paper which, unknown to me, contained warnings about the dangers... I folded it and stuffed it in my pocket to read later, then fainted on the train home

Low blood pressure. I only fainted once, since then I knew exactly what warning signs were and managed to prevent it.
H1raeth · 36-40, M
My friend and I did deliberate fainting where you bend over, take deep breaths, then you stand up straight against a flat surface and your friend pushes on your chest.
I was so disoriented when I came round I didn't know where I was but I put my shoes on and started walking home. I remember my friend asking "Why are you being gay?"

I haven't fainted, but the people I have seen it was due to epilepsy.

I never went to the doctor for it, but it used to happen quite a bit when I was young. Not really sure why but maybe blood pressure bottoming out?
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M

ME/POTS... or, to be more specific, POTS. Seems like POTS likes to try to throw me on the floor regularly.

I think it is stress. I usually feel really sick and dizzy then I black out and wake up and throw up
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Low blood sugar, low iron, and very heavy periods all make me faint.
