If you've never had any problems with it before, I would highly recommend it. If you get it at a pharmacy, you will have to fill out a form which asks some basic questions which will guide the pharmacist as to if you should get it. Also, ask the pharmacist what side effects you should expect and not expect. I trust what my reliable pharmacist tell me because they're not doctors and they study the medicines. I will take their advice and ignore anything I read online. I've never had any bad advice and I've never had any bad reactions from anything following these guidelines.

Yes... I get one every year usually in Oct or early Nov but this time I spaced it. I got it this month. I have other underlying health conditions that I need to be careful of so I always get a flu shot yearly and a pneumonia shot every 5 years plus the covid boosters. I've never had any issues or problems with any of those.

I won’t ever get one again. I took them 3 times when I was in my 30’s and got paraflu every winter and it would come back two more times each winter. Left me fatigued all winter long. Stopped taking them and it didn’t happen any more. A doctor asked me if I was taking them and told him about getting paraflu each time and I wouldn’t do it again. He just shook his head and said “I can’t take them either.” Why in the hell don’t they warn people about this?

I've never ever gotten the flu shot, my brother did and he told me he felt like extremely, extremely bad. Said he'd never get it again. I've only caught flu one time when I was about 15 years old.

i don't know what to tell you...i'll be 55 in march and the last flu i had was probably 34 years ago...pretty sure i had covid though but asymptomatic (at one point i felt "dizzyish") and i think i gave it to my mom because at one point before she got sick she never left the apartment in probably 2 months. but i guess it's never too late to get a shot during any point of flu season
@beermeplease Me too. The last time I had the flu was when I was a young child.
@beermeplease you’re just too strong

Used to get them but the last 2 I had about 9 and 10 years ago made me sick for 3 days after. Never again.

I get one every year at work. It's not a big deal, go for it!

If your dad is immunocompromised, it might be worth it to get immunized for his sake🤷🏻♀

Yes.
I guess it's never too late. There's still a chance you can get sick.

Personally I would not. After the problems both my wife and I had from the Covid vaccine I'm not sure I will ever have another vaccine.

I took the covid shots. That's the last time I ever take any more shots.

I'll get that airborne fizzy tablets at the gas station.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
No. The vaxes actually make it more likely you will get sick. Actual studies indicate a causal relationship.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 I've had flu shots many times in years past, never got ill.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Coralmist I have never had a flu shot and I never get the flu either. My mother in law got the shot every year and every year she would get the flu. However the study I mentioned had something in the range of 20,000 people and the vaxed group was about 25% more likely to get the flu than the unvaxed. I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV but I can read statistics.

Grade school biology scared me from ever getting the flu shot

I get sick from vaccines, I am allergic to thiomersol, the preservative used in them.
