I sort give it a rest when sick like that, as it can worsen symptoms, and can prolong recovery, and it doesn't take too long to get back into it once you start feeling better

Yup, I do my best to get up and work out every day. Nothing too strenuous if I'm sick but I'll at least do some squats.

Not when sick due to stress on the body and complications such as myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle).

@Sutten in preventive medicine, we teach that the body will tell you when to curtail activity. Many years ago bed rest was prescribrd while today there are very few instances that is sugggested. Of course you do not want to spread your illness to the others in the.gym.
