So, I’m someone who rarely gets messages from random members here. I’m not a magnet for them, which can be a very good thing considering.
But I did something out of the norm recently by changing my profile picture to one that features cleavage and since doing so I’ve gotten the amount of messages from unknowns that usually make up the number for the entire year.
It’s crazy. But also the life of a female here. And I know this is tame. And not all of them are “bad guys” but it’s just crazy what a particular kind of profile picture can bring to your door.
@HikingMan I have so many butterfly pics and even a praying mantis I saved from the pool that I perched on my leg. The fall leaf one that just so happened to have my legs in it was a favorite though. But yeah, unfortunately I can’t display too much here. I’m not super comfortable with that kind of attention.
I don't envy the position of honest or sharing women on this site. For every honest or caring interaction there's probably 10 creeps that hop in like piranhas.
Anyways, you and all the other women on here, (even the ones that flaunt or play themselves for attention) deserve more respect than you're all given.
It's no wonder that so many women chose The Bear in the woods over a random man....

@Starcrossed Had to. Guidelines and all. Plus, there’s a few in the mix that I can’t condemn by them just saying hello. Sad thing is I feel like I can’t even respond given how many times in the past it went sideways quickly.
@Thatsright I’m sorry to say that if it had been in the timeframe it would’ve been up there as well probably. But these guys are legit unknowns who I’ve never seen on posts, or at least posts that show up in my feed.
@Younameit It’s makes me uneasy to think of how many are lurking in the shadows just waiting for an in. Not a single one of these men had familiar names to me.
@DancingStarGoddess No, no. It’s good information for me to know. All of us actually. I’ve known for quite some time that certain accounts use the same line and bait to try to get a little nibble. I’m sure it works for a small group because that could be what they’re here for. But when they reach me with messages like that I know the desperation is thick because such messages are that rare in finding my inbox.
