It's mostly a secret place for me to just vent.

I'm not ashamed of it, I just talk about the people and experiences in my life. I don't think people would like to know that I'm discussing this with others.

But actually we all need an outlet. And you don't always want to present such situations to friends and family, because it's either too heavy for them to handle or creates a biased mindset about those in your life.

By corollary I am careful what I post on here, so as not to reveal anything too close to home, and always follow the Golden social-media Rule never to announce future plans such as holidays, or hints as to valued property, in any but the vaguest terms, if at all.

If you tell them, then they might ask for your name, which then opens you up to scrutiny. Best to keep things anonymous here I think. If you want honesty then they can use FB.
