It's mostly a secret place for me to just vent.

I'm not ashamed of it, I just talk about the people and experiences in my life. I don't think people would like to know that I'm discussing this with others.

But actually we all need an outlet. And you don't always want to present such situations to friends and family, because it's either too heavy for them to handle or creates a biased mindset about those in your life.

@Mellowgirl that makes a lot of sense. It’s a secret place for me and I do think I’d be a little embarrassed if someone from my personal account found my account

@yugimotodm my mum and my partner and I over time have met up with friends I made through ep and here. I did explain to them that we met through a forum and the friendship has been going strong since 2014/2015 ish.

I didn't disclose what forum. But actually it was incredibly positive.

So it's not that I'm ashamed I had to make friends in this way but yes I wouldn't want them to see this content.

@Mellowgirl that’s really cool that you’ve felt comfortable to meet some people from here and introduced them to your mom and partner. Pretty admirable actually

@yugimotodm In this particular instance we've known each other so long, it was never a weird situation. They're normal people like me. And actually they're incredibly nice. I would now say I think of them more like family. Once we developed a friendship we started to talk on the phone. I think that's what really helped the friendship develop.
Its all about trust, but there was never a situation whereby we needed to question it.
