Great question, and yes, I have many that will never read my about me section or my Whiteboard to begin to even understand why I am different and like I am today. And I am good with that.
There are a few really great people that have and have accepted me no matter how I am and how I live, and I cherish those as friends.
since beginning moment am here , it became part of my life although not able to be here regular due to life living but I really don't want to loose the chance whenever possible for me to be here , I open up myself here truthfully with my life living about my past , my present and never try to be artificial , always like to be here as I am real , I post about my exp of life , about my thoughts and sometimes question arise in my mind that I really can't express in open life , people came comment in my posts or reply in my comments and journey going on
Interact, make posts. You'll find your circle eventually. Don't be discouraged with the creeps etc on here. You have 500 blocks as non vip so use them generously. Don't believe people who think you need to go through here without blocking people
@deadgerbil The thing is, lots and lots of people in here are fleeting, so blocking one of their names doesn't really stop anything, but you can never know if they come or go, and your block list will contain many many of those long gone names. Blocking is good if you are being harassed though, as a temporary thing.
Awesome post. Now, to answer your question. There are a couple things you can do. First, you can do exactly like you just did and sa "hi, I'm new," you can browse the forums, you can just take a chance and message somebody you think is interesting on here, or you can just say what your interests are and that you are looking for a like minded individual on here. Just jump in. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Hope this helps.
Interact....respond to posts when you feel inclined and acknowledge responses to your posts. Don't be afraid to block those who are rude or are derogatory to others. You will find a group of people whose sensibilities and quirks are in some sort of alignment with your own. Some people here are not going to be worth your time, but others might become special to you. I wish you well.
Welcome!!! One way to meet people who may share your interests is by joining Forums. Whenever you look at someone's profile, also look at their Forums. If you see any that might interest you, then click on the 'Join' button. There are many Forums that are not easy to find and this is a good way to discover them. This way your feed will populate with profiles of people that you may want to follow or reach out to.
What kind of people do you want to meet? Do a search for something you enjoy, say knitting, and find a group and say hello. Or read through posts and see if any of the people there sound interesting and send them a message.
Just look around, jump on a post if you can relate to it and just be yourself. Ignore the negative people, you'll run into plenty of those. We hope you enjoy :)
Just be yourself...there are enough fakes already ...try not to take this place too seriously either ...the block button is your friend..don't be afraid to use it ...some will act like they deserve an award for not using it ...believe me you'll enjoy the site alot more if you do ...
I mean you dont really meet up on here. Mostly interactions with posts. I've been here since and before it started when it used to be EP. So about 11 years.
