Do you think SW would miss you if you stopped visiting?

I'm pretty sure nobody would noticed if I stopped logging on. Not close enough to anyone to be worth remembering.

It's understandable to feel that way, but it's also important to recognize that your presence on platforms like Similar Worlds, or any community for that matter, can have an impact, even if it may not always be immediately apparent. While it's natural to have moments where you question your significance within a community, it's worth considering that your interactions, even if seemingly small, can still contribute positively to the collective experience.

Remember that every member brings something unique to a community, and your perspective, contributions, and presence are valued, even if it may not always be explicitly expressed. If you feel like you're not connecting with others as much as you'd like, consider reaching out and initiating conversations or activities that align with your interests. Building connections takes time and effort, but it's often worth it in the end. And if you ever need support or someone to talk to, don't hesitate to reach out.

Oh mercy yes and I don't mean this in a bragging way, but I am about create sincere connections with my core group of friends here. I genuinely love them and they love me, both male and female. Then beyond those close friends I have groups of additional friends that I focus on going to their profile to see if they post when I am able to sign in. Then I go to my feed to see who is posting that I am familiar with. I comment anf post as much as I can to entertain myself and to try to entertain those folks. I really never knew how much that meant to others until my health went to crap and I couldn't log in for over a month. I came back to around new 1,300 messages to try to reply to. I know you are thinking "people wanting to sext" or whatever, but it was people who took the time to read my about me and were genuinely asking me if I was okay... if they could pray for me or send me good vibes or energy.... some offering to send me care packages etc., but many expressed that they missed me or my posts here. So i not only think some people miss me here, I know it because they took the time to tell me. I get a lot of messages daily though and because of my health I can't answer them fast.
@Fungirlmmm It's wonderful to hear that you've cultivated such genuine connections with your friends, both online and offline. It's evident that your presence and engagement mean a lot to them, especially considering the outpouring of concern and support you received when you faced health challenges. Your ability to entertain and engage others while also forming meaningful connections speaks volumes about the positive impact you have on those around you.

Managing a large volume of messages, especially during times when your health is not at its best, can certainly be overwhelming. It's important to prioritize self-care and respond to messages at a pace that feels manageable for you. Your friends will understand and appreciate your efforts to stay connected, even if it takes a bit longer to reply.

It's heartwarming to know that you have such a supportive community who genuinely cares about your well-being. Keep nurturing those connections and taking care of yourself!

Collectively, no most of SW wouldn't miss me. A few people would.

@KiwiDan I know we aren't friends and I've rarely ever commented on your posts, but you're a long time member / "regular" whom I would at some point notice you weren't around anymore. I like seeing your model posts, your hobby/craft is amazing.

Of course not.
No one thing or person stops for anyone.
Even those close to you would eventually get used to your absence.
And that is perfectly fine.

I think a few people would miss me. I was in the hospital for over a month last year without any internet. When I came back some people were glad to hear from me again.
helsbels · 26-30, F
I stopped and... nothing happened 😄
I came back and... even less happened 🤷‍♀️
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
No one would miss me. One day I will just stop logging in or delete my account and no one will notice I have left.

People forget quickly.
@iamonfire696 There’s about four people that are the only reason I’m on this site at all anymore, and you and Sarah are two of the four. Love you girls.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@DarkHeaven I feel very privileged to be one you know 🩷
@iamonfire696 🖤🫂
