trafficators
My old Dad had a Morris 1000 with them laughable today a passenger walked into one of them and snapped it.
senghenydd · M
@stratosranger Yes a very interesting function, they wouldn't be any good in car parks where people brush by cars without looking I think they had to go and go they did.
srxwat4 · 70-79, M
@senghenydd They were only extended when in use, when not in use they would just fold out of the way.I think they look good and should come back.
senghenydd · M
@srxwat4 My Dad had one break someone walked into it and it was an expensive to get replaced I remember there was a fuss about it.
CestManan · 46-50, F
Some automatics had the gear selector on the steering column.

My dad's 79 Thunderbird had the high beam switch as a button on the floor board.

That thing was a living room on wheels.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@CestManan neighbor had the 1960 version. Same color.

Teslin · M

@Stereoguy Love the Lincoln dash layout everything is right at your fingertips. It took me a couple of times to find a few settings when you scrolled down but figured them out. I don't know about the piano key shifter on the 21 Nautilus have seen them in the showroom but haven't driven one yet.

Radio presets! Heck most didn't know how to set them back in the day!

Double clutch! Would love to see most now double clutch up a hill! 🤣

Any seatbelts at all! 🤷‍♂️

No head rest!

No driver side or passenger side outside rear view mirrors.

No cup holders!

Outside Radio antenna that slides up a down.

Seen them only. Rumple seat!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@CestManan my fist car that I bought in 1979 was a 72 Datsun B110. Bought it cheap because of all the hail damage.

It was the precursor to all the Datsuns later.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer Typical early 70's styling.

My 81 Aries was actually my third car. Long story about the first two, but the Aries was the first one I owed for any amount of time.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@CestManan my second was a practical tank! Traded my Datsun for a 72 Mercury monarch station wagon! Even trade.

What a total beast that was! 440 V8. 🤣

All solid steel.

Wing windows. Rear seat door locks, (an optional add on), so children can't open their doors by themselves.

@Virgo79 Yep, it was always, plugs, points and condenser.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M

Sometimes an old condenser can be alot of fun when its charged and handed to someone that doesn't know what it is🙂.
Not that I would do that😂
