I represented my HS in an interschool music competition on piano (and won!). I was also, briefly, on the (unisex) wrestling team.

I represented my school in gymnastics from the age of 9 until I was 18. My strong events were vault and floor.
I also did cross country and short and long distance track running in the summer.
I played rugby for two years in a not very good school side but had to stop as all the girls were getting so big and strong and I wasn't 😠

@SunshineGirl I would be too scared to do rugby but gymnastics is my favourite sport in the whole wide world! 🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️ My favourite event is bars because I love hanging upside down so natually I like the bars the most! 🤭🤭🤭 Floor is definitely second along with trampoline and rings because you can hang upside down on them by your knees too! 🙃🙃🙃 Vault is super fun especially somersaulting over the vault and I do like beam but beam is kind of my worst event but all gymnastics is just sooooo awesome and fun and amazing and fun and a little scary and fun and magical and SO FUN! 🙊🙊🙊

I was either bed ridden or on limited physical activity restrictions for a good many years. So I was limited to be a team manager/clubhouse guy for the football, basketball, track teams. The only thing I competed in was chess, and we were undefeated against other schools.
Later in life I competed in darts. Until I finally won a title and retired.

Cycling. Road-biked 3500 miles solo, against the wind E-W across the US, camping nights while hubby stayed home teaching school.

I was on the Varsity girls ice hockey team. I didn't play in college because we didn't have a team.

I ran for my highschool cross-country team, three of my four years. I never did win no checkered flags, but I never did come in last
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Probably middle-distance running, typically 100 yards, or 100 metres as it would be now of course.
I was not good at any sports or games, really.
I was in no formal teams but my school was not in any sort of inter-school league anyway. I am not sure if there were any such inter-school contests. The idea of the PE and Games lessons was to develop physical and mental agility and stamina, not mere contests.

I was best at being non-competitive. I went all the way with that. Once competition & awards are involved, it isn't real sport; it's just a vehicle for one-upmanship.
I did enjoy long distance cycle-touring & camping with a group of pals. Soon learned to avoid the kind of companions who were always 'half-wheeling' you.

I was on the gymnastics team at school from grades 6-11. I did figure skating for several years but didn’t like jumping so I quit. I did Scottish dancing, ballet and jazz dancing for years. I also learned to ride horses
acupaday · 46-50, F
Volleyball and track. But participating in extracurricular sports wasn’t something I was allowed to do so enjoyed my pats on the back during the gym days that included both of those.
exexec · 70-79, C
In high school, my best sports were football and baseball, and I lettered in basketball and track, also. I played Div. 1 baseball in college.
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
My absolute favourite sport is gymnastics because I LOVE being upside down! 🙃🙃🙃 I LOVE the bars because I can hang by my knees and I also love doing handstands and cartwheels! 🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️ I am not the best at catching a ball and combat sports I would hate because I would be too scared! 😭😭😭 But Gymnastics, trampolining, acrobatics and trapeze is my favourite because I love being upside down like a little monkey! 🙊🙊🙊
