Many people think that Hitler was a German but in fact he was born in Braunau am Inn which is in Australia.

Is this a common known historical fact?

you are probably going to regret posting this one but just a little piece of info. This building has been sitting pretty much empty for years. why? the skinheads and Fascists parade in front of it. they do not want a shrine being made of this building.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@AndysAttic not me I hope. i assure you i have been there many times.
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@akindheart Not you :)

The town is in northern Austria, on the border of Germany. (It is not in Australia)

akindheart · 61-69, F
Correction. It is Austria. not Austrailia. i have been there. would you like to see his birthplace? they denounced his citizenship about 6 yrs ago
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@akindheart Actually they have a monument to the victims of his crimes in the town.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@AndysAttic No actually it is a huge rock in front of his birthplace. I have a picture of it if i can find it
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@akindheart Don't worry, I have seen it.

German heritage born in Austria. Germans in Austria were considered German and could enlist in the German army or participate in German politics.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
The very definition of an Austrian is someone who tries to convince you that Hitler was German and Beethoven was Austrian😷
PatKirby · M
Nostradumbass predicted his arrival and called him Hister.
He did indeed.
If this isn't a joke, I'm gonna cry.

SW-User
I thought it was Austria
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@andysattic] 😆yes the artistic fascist with one bollock was not actually german but austria that is a well known fact
@smiler2012 Incorrect, SIR!
smiler2012 · 56-60
@BohemianBoo 🤔enlighten me on the inaccuracy in my statement
@smiler2012 Hitler was ethnically German. At the time, Austrians were consider a sub-group of Germans, like Bavarians and Hessians. This is why Pan-Germanism included Austrians.
And Hitler didn't actually have one bollock, that myth came from a satirical song.
And Nazis weren't Fascists. Both were authoritarian, though.
and at the same time people think Mozart was austrian... though at that time Salzburg wasnt part of Habsburg austrian lands but a free city of the holy roman empire (as in germanies precursor)
GerOttman · 61-69, M
That is fairly well know and by the same token European borders at the time often had only tenuous connections to actual ethnicity.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
I knew Lenin before he became Stalin. True story.
graphite · 61-69, M
@Wol62 Stalin wasn't Russian (he was Georgian), Hitler wasn't German (Austrian) and Napoleon wasn't French (Corsican).
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@graphite Princess Stephanie of Monaco had my love child.

Weird he could be born in another country and still rule Gemany
@LunarOrbit He was a master at manipulating and after WW1 and the repercussions they suffered from that war, the German people needed someone. He showed up.

His brother was a Liverpool supporter
Yes. In fact, it was his years in the Outback that caused him brain damage and gave him the personality that won him the chancellorhood of the Geraniums.

@Funlov I ignore almost ALL messages and there might be a good reason for that.
But if I say I do not receive or I did not receive a message I am not lying.
