@stratosranger same, it’s not like I went out to eat during the mask mandates around here. I drove to the next city every few months and had Mexican food…and I could have done without that if need be.

@stratosranger I agree. Homecooked food is better anyway.
@stratosranger I’m old enough to remember when meals in restaurants were very rare treats. We would have gatherings and invite family, neighbors & other friends and have hamburger cookouts, ice cream socials, picnics at a lake or wienie and marshmallow roasts at a river, fish fries, potluck meals, etc. The food was good, people interacted with each other, they praised the cooks and had a good time. Social bonds were built and we looked forward to spending time with others this way. It may have been simpler times but it didn’t cost much and we had fun.
Well if the study from England is true the unvaxed will be the majority soon since the vaxed will all be dead. Interesting study. The vaxed are more likely to die from covid than the unvaxed. Hmmmm
@CrazyMusicLover And there are a lot of healthcare workers who have refused the jab at the expense of their career. Sad little fact. BTW years ago the government mandated flu vaxes to health care workers here. My sister who is a nurse that works in a hospital never got the flu vax. There were several doctors who were willing to sign a paper saying you were vaxed when you had not been vaxed. No one could tell since the flu vax can not be shown to have any effect on the spread of the disease. My sister never had the flu or the flu shot. hmmm.
@MrBrownstone and I don’t care whether or not you have the covid vaccine. The consequences of your inaction are yours alone... just don’t whine about them.
This is the 10th Amendment of the US constitution simplified.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
It means if the Federal Government does not ban something or if it is not against the constitution - then the states can make their own laws.
@MrBrownstone I like that - I am assuming you are saying it's the choice of the people to wear a seatbelt ? If I am right then what happens if someone not wearing a seatbelt loses control of his car because he is being thrown around inside ? Then it becomes a safety hazard for others. So If the mask and the shot can slow down this virus then that's a good thing - no ? Good for the general public.
@MrBrownstone Who's the clown with the red bow tie - where did he get his medical degree - from Bling Bling University - AH AHHHAHAHHHHHHH AAAAH A HAAHHA HAHHHAHAHAHAH
Funny story about a couple from Miami with two kids who I think were aged 7 and 9, all went on a trip to Hawaii with fake vaccination cards. What tipped off officials was the vaccination papers for their kids, who are too young to need Covid vaccinations! 😆@SumKindaMunster
Every…place? C’mon now. Dial down the scare tactics just a smidge. No one is going to starve. Some feelings will get hurt and some inconveniences will arise, but we are solely responsible for our own reactions to the hurdles presented to us…and your title is a bit extreme.
@Stereoguy I know I remember. I’ll never buy from Sprouts Market again. I was buying groceries and supplements from them, shopped every week there till they pulled their crap
its the freedom of the people to decide who they allow in their shops or not.
personally... basically my home my castle and if some unvaccinated pig dares to enter a home without mask they might aswekll get shot cause they are a threat
How about farmers deciding which restaurants get the food to serve ? Have that sign up no supplies for you? We grow our own food doesn't affect us at all.
What’s interesting is that in my city, which is a university city, people are starting to mask up again. We went all summer without people wearing masks except at some businesses with the employees. Now the students have moved back and the masks are on again, although not mandated, it is voluntary. I sense fear from these people. Watched the news this morning & in Oklahoma City they are having an Asian festival and no one was wearing masks, not the reporters or the ones being interviewed or the people attending the event. It was like the difference between light and dark.
@Punches In that places are not requiring any proof of vaccination (which is not tangible anyway), and some are requiring that no masks are worn at all.
@Amyrakunejo Hmm, yeah I have been wondering if places plan to have a security guard checking peoples' vax passports.
Seems weird how they would require someone to NOT wear a mask. I am indifferent about masks myself but it seems like people should have an option if they want to or not
@SW-User Here is a funny one though - Some worry about their food supply running out, but that is nothing new to those of us who have ever had teenage sons.
