@stratosranger same, it’s not like I went out to eat during the mask mandates around here. I drove to the next city every few months and had Mexican food…and I could have done without that if need be.

@stratosranger I’m old enough to remember when meals in restaurants were very rare treats. We would have gatherings and invite family, neighbors & other friends and have hamburger cookouts, ice cream socials, picnics at a lake or wienie and marshmallow roasts at a river, fish fries, potluck meals, etc. The food was good, people interacted with each other, they praised the cooks and had a good time. Social bonds were built and we looked forward to spending time with others this way. It may have been simpler times but it didn’t cost much and we had fun.
