Do you feel increasingly detached here?

It seems actual interaction on posts, or receiving replies, are in short order as of late. :( Do you feel this too sometimes?

yes i feel that... i asked one user where they were from even though their profile said they were american and they made posts stating they were obviously american, but their only answer was that they were from america,,,,i get one may not want to post what city they are from but can one not mention a state,,,or even if east coast or west coast? i find people are getting too paranoid as we move forward online....i also think there are too many weirdos on here.

but in all honesty i like the regulars on here but there aren't enough of them...
@NativePortlander1970 that's sketchy to say the least...and yes i agree with portlanders being open. when i talk to fellow canadians they always say where they are from,,,i get they may not reveal what city or town, but always what province they are from or at least from what major city they are from...i have no problem saying i'm from vancouver even though i don't live in vancouver proper...but i can get there pretty quick
@beermeplease We love talking about our individual districts, we have serious city pride. When various movies are filmed those of us from those areas brag how they watched the scenes being set up and shot, personally I watched Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix shoot the elk statue scene from My Own Private Idaho, the director even wanted me to be in the film as one of the street kids because I looked the part, I was wearing my trench coat and looked a bit scruffy, but I turned him down because I didn't have a desire to be an extra, plus I was already working in a DownTown mailroom, I was there because I ate lunch there every day across from the statue at the small park.
@NativePortlander1970 if hollywood comes a knockin' on sw doors and want to film a documentary they better put my star on the hollywood walk of fame 🤣....or shame 🤭

I don't feel increasingly detached.
There are times when there's very little interaction on her, and other times when there's a lot of interaction.
Sometimes I interact a lot with others on here, and sometimes I don't. I don't let it bother me that there are periods of little interaction, as I know that there will be times of greater interaction at some point.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
It is. No idea why but I think more and more users are taking breaks, especially the ones who post the more interactive posts.

In my case it's always been low traction, low engagement, low views... It doesn't pay much, but it's honest work

Yes, though it's not replies in posts for me. I never made that many of them anyway. It's a more general feeling of unease you know that is supposed to guide you, where if you know nothing interests here you much any more, you should listen to yourself ask why are you here? The content seems to veering towards drivel more and the cliques seem to be taking over. I know it's been complained about before, but within a certain tint of light it appears like a schoolyard in behaviour.

Coincidentally, moderation now seems non existant.

@SW-User Such an accurate summation. Drivel and schoolyard behavior is right. That's the majority of what's left.
It comes and goes. Mostly depends on who is on at the time. One post might get 50 replies and the next a goose egg. 😂

Exactly. Things are detaching all over the place 😬😬😌😌

It comes and goes. Would I really would like a substantial interaction but for that to take place it takes time. And also in this day and age it's a pretty rare thing
Magenta · F
Yes, totally. And I rarely post now.
I can only take so much of the mindless 💩 posts that are constant.
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@Magenta So true!!😟

It varies from day to day, depending on who is actively participating. Overall, it may be because I am not on her as much as before.
It's the end of summer break / beginning of school in the US.

I feel like it's been that way for a long while.
Yes. Seems the majority just want to argue; not have conversations. And I’ve encountered many who I thought were cool at first, but then they made it clear they hate people who think how I do. Getting tiring.
Bang5luts · M
Yes. The site is taking another major shift southward
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
I've felt that for the last 3 years, haven't you noticed my absence?

I don’t spend as much time here anymore because I feel detached but that’s okay with me.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I've kind of felt like that for a while. I don't understand it. Some folks get a million responses, but not me.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@LordShadowfire The ones that do get it from mindless zombies looking for seggs, count yourself lucky to have seen the true nature of this site.
empanadas · 31-35, M
My life is getting better and i feel like im maturing too much for this place. I have a few friends on here that i come back to but i forget i have an account lately
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@empanadas Hey, man. If you're doing better, don't feel bad about it.
@empanadas Don't mature too much. Being funny is something we should hold onto forever. 😂
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@empanadas I am so happy things are getting better for you. It is well deserved 🩷
