Do you feel increasingly detached here?

It seems actual interaction on posts, or receiving replies, are in short order as of late. :( Do you feel this too sometimes?

yes i feel that... i asked one user where they were from even though their profile said they were american and they made posts stating they were obviously american, but their only answer was that they were from america,,,,i get one may not want to post what city they are from but can one not mention a state,,,or even if east coast or west coast? i find people are getting too paranoid as we move forward online....i also think there are too many weirdos on here.

but in all honesty i like the regulars on here but there aren't enough of them...
@beermeplease About nine months ago I had to block another member because she claimed to be from Portland but refused to say from where in Portland. I asked her about the various areas from all four counties, including Clark County, Washington, which we somewhat include, as well as photos from the main areas that would be instantly recognizable, she said none of the places looked familiar, the final straw was her not knowing anything about Fleet Week or Saturday market, yet she still insisted she was from and lived in the Portland, Oregon, area, even though she refused to say which area, which a true Portlander will never hesitate to do.

@NativePortlander1970 that's sketchy to say the least...and yes i agree with portlanders being open. when i talk to fellow canadians they always say where they are from,,,i get they may not reveal what city or town, but always what province they are from or at least from what major city they are from...i have no problem saying i'm from vancouver even though i don't live in vancouver proper...but i can get there pretty quick
@beermeplease We love talking about our individual districts, we have serious city pride. When various movies are filmed those of us from those areas brag how they watched the scenes being set up and shot, personally I watched Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix shoot the elk statue scene from My Own Private Idaho, the director even wanted me to be in the film as one of the street kids because I looked the part, I was wearing my trench coat and looked a bit scruffy, but I turned him down because I didn't have a desire to be an extra, plus I was already working in a DownTown mailroom, I was there because I ate lunch there every day across from the statue at the small park.
@NativePortlander1970 if hollywood comes a knockin' on sw doors and want to film a documentary they better put my star on the hollywood walk of fame 🤣....or shame 🤭
