Tinned fish

I need to consume around 160g of protein a day and as I like fish is it safe it eat tinned fish (mackerel/sardines) daily. I’ve seen reports of people saying that eating tinned fish every day is bad for you. But would like to hear other people’s opinions.

I would imagine you'd be exposing yourself to too much mercury doing that.

I have heard you can accumulate mercury if you eat it every day. I don’t know if it is all canned fish or some of it. I know it makes me feel better if I have fish a couple times a week. And I take a filtered fish oil as well.

The bigger the fish, the more mercury content. So saradines are ok, tuna....meh..same for swordfish

Tinned fish is sooooooooooooo expensive! Canned tuna in the little sandwich-portioned tins is near to $40 a kg.
Why not fresh fish?

@NoGamesTolerated it’s just convenient having tinned fish plus it’s very cheap.
@Ian1892 ok then but nothing canned is better than fresh…

I don't have it every day but maybe twice a week. there are many other sources of protein.
160 a day, hitting the gym?
