Why do you need...
a) a "local militia" (whatever that may be or imagine itself doing), and
b) napalm
?

@ArishMell actually, consistency of napalm is more akin to jelly (it's essentially gelled diesel fuel), and typically, in the circumstances in which it's used (pillboxes, bunkers, etc.), it kills more by asphyxiation than burning.

@wildbill83 Still an evil weapon - but as I heard a general once say on the radio (probably in an analytical piece) war is cold-blooded murder.

Nice try, officer.

There was a fashion in the 1960s, at least in Britain, for insulating bedroom ceilings with polystyrene foam panels about half-an-inch thick, glued to the existing plaster.
I think this ended when everyone started to learn the effects in a fire: dense, very toxic fumes and flaming droplets of molten foam.....

Before anyone gives away a "recipe" like that, just remember, Big Brother could be watching.
I found out the hard way that the napalm recipe mentioned in the movie Fight Club doesn't actually work
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@GoToTheCompound I've not seen The Fight Club - which sounds a peculiarly horrible film anyway - but I wonder if the fictional recipe was deliberately ineffective?
@ArishMell Apparently the napalm recipe and all other recipes in the movie deliberately had one ingredient changed to make them ineffective, but the recipes in the book were actually real

@GoToTheCompound I see. Thankyou.

My adoptive Daddy was a Marine in Vietnam . He said gasoline, styrofoam, and dishwashing detergent was the home made recipe
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
Napalm-B = 46% polystyrene, 33% gasoline, 21% benzine

@HoraceGreenley No!

The simplest recipe is... Wait, what are you going to do with napalm!?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I'm told that it helps to put the styrofoam in a container and then slowly pour the diesel over the top. You want to stir it often to make sure the styrofoam melts properly.
