There can be no greater injustice than skimpy toppings on pizza. Especially that lack of pepperoni. 😩
I wouldn’t make a scene but probably wouldn’t go back there again. Unless it was some dopey kid serving me. Then I might give them another chance and hope for better customer service. Or did you speak to the manager?
@OlderSometimesWiser I am actually regular there and have been for 15 years. My waitress saw nothing wrong with it. The head waitress walked by and asked how everything was as I am a regular who always tips well. When I told her the problem and she looked at the pizza she went and talked to the manager. I got 40% off the bill.
@Musicman Smart head waitress. Never a good idea to piss off customers, especially regular customers. That’s why I thought it may just be your server. Sometimes they’re not tuned into/don’t care about that piece of common sense.
@OlderSometimesWiser About Six years ago the original owner retired. The cooks bought the business. The first thing they did was fire all the waitresses and hire a bunch of Latino girls who can barely speak English. That move cost them a lot of business. They are just now starting to build it back up.
Whoever put that pizza together has a serious case of "I don't give a #!@%". I'd send it back and ask for toppings spread evenly over the pizza and MORE toppings.
@Ontheroad I actually wanted a remake. Sadly my waitress didn't see a problem with it. Fortunately at the end of the evening the head waitress came by and said hi as I am a regular. She was the one who made it right.
When the dough rises while baking large bubbles can be created and the toppings kind of slide down, leaving that part of the crust bare. It might have been topped properly in the first place, but they didn't bother popping the bubbles while it baked
There is no sense in that but these days some workers just don’t care and maybe the owner told them to cut back on toppings. This is the type of thing that motivated me to learn how to make my own pizzas and other foods.
@ImpeccablyImperfect I did complain when it came out. My waitress said she didn't see a problem with it. Then she avoided me the rest of the evening. It took the head waitress walking by to care enough to do something about it. I have been a regular customer there for years.
@Musicman I see by other comments the head waitress recognized you as a regular and at least gave a discount. In that case I’d give them another chance.
@Nebula I brought the part you see in the picture home. I'll put the toppings and cheese on myself. I am definitely not wasting it. It's just sad that I have to do their job for them.
I hate to say this Dear Friend, but as a former food service manager You should have said something right away, because some slices are missing from the pan, they won't take your complaint as serious.
