The prices are already outrageous as is. 😐

@Jeephikelove The idea it would raise prices is mostly a myth and an empty threat. If memory serves it was Denmark where wages are much higher but your Big Mac is actually cheaper than in the USA.
The difference is the portion of the cut the top management just pockets.
In the 60s CEOs made about 20 times the salary of their bottom employees. Now it is closer to 200X.

Yes. It is not up to your customers to subsidize the wages of your staff. In fact I am pretty sure trying to do that in any other profession would be illegal.

I tip very well and desperately want tipping abolished.

Yes. If a business truly cannot afford to pay market wages, it should not be subsidised by its customers, the taxpayer, etc. Wouldn't be tolerated in any other business. Strange how restaurants are always seen as a special exception.

I'll do it anyways🤷♂
True story right there

I imagine a lot of people would stop going to restaurants altogether if they did that, and that’s not what those businesses want. Many that still exist here barely survived the pandemic.

@WillaKissing you blame the server for the quality of food? That’s not fair!
WillaKissing · 56-60
@Nunlover Not really because I do not go and eat at greasy spoons or dive restaurants. And with that said Yes, I count the quality of the food served in my tip.
