If a restaurant doesn’t serve root beer I don’t give them my patronage and also report them to the better business bureau.
People of the UK: Do you leave a tip at restaurants?Somewhat nicer places are starting to add a ‘discretionary’ 12.5% charge to the bill, and then if paying digitally a separate screen pops up requesting a tip on top. The second request seems a little excessive.
Is tipping an expression of gratitude or a mandatory payment?Is tip part of the chargeable fee? Is it mandatory or is it a social norm?
