@Ferric67 Also very nice
Ferric67 · M
@justanothername a family friend was (may still be) the Chardonnay maker there
justanothername · 51-55, M
@Ferric67 There are still Chardonnay makers here just not in the Gisborne Napier area due to the floods.
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
Any that come in a box 😉
turnedtostone · 56-60, F

turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard Peach or berry?
Dino11 · M
@turnedtostone Peach ! 😃
Make a punch with ketchup. tartar sauce and Chablis.
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@Mamapolo2016 Interesting is generic ketchup okay?
@turnedtostone It's required.
justlooking2023 · 56-60, M
A well-aged juice box?
Scribbles · 36-40, F
@justlooking2023 Good answer. I wish I thought of that. Lol.
justlooking2023 · 56-60, M
@Scribbles Thanks, i hope to have a few today lol
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@justlooking2023 Now, there is a idea wine-sippers we will call it should make millions!
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I have actually bought this stuff!

turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@DrWatson Cheap white wine and paint stripper
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@turnedtostone I dislike white wine in general. So I actually like the really, really cheap stuff because it bears absolutely no resemblance to what real white wine is supposed to taste like!

It's fine for swilling down my chicken and fish!
Pabst Blue Ribbon chardonnay
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@BizSuitStacy sounds legit
MissTaken · 36-40, F
The cheapest one you can find 🙂
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@MissTaken $5 bottle it is , then

Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with seafood...
RosaMarie · 41-45, F
Miller or Coors. Or get a fancy craft pilsner. Save the white wine for lightly sauced pasta.
RosaMarie · 41-45, F
@turnedtostone white wine with white flaky fish, yes. Fried, I would go for a white wine with a decent bite of acidity. Pino grigio if they list apple or pear in the taste. Or an unoaked chard. Or dry Riesling.
RosaMarie · 41-45, F
An oaky chard would be too buttery and wouldn't compliment the fried food.
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@RosaMarie thanks for your serious input 😊
I was just being a weirdo😔
kodiac · 22-25, M
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@kodiac so many good suggestions
Rutterman · 46-50, M
Wine of any sort doesn't pair well with fish sticks and tater tots, in my opinion. Iced tea or beer are better choices.
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@Rutterman I always heard white went well with fish...what about maccorni and cheese... Duped again
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@turnedtostone It does, depending on how the fish is prepared. I just don't think it goes well with battered or breaded fish. But I'm guessing a lot of people might disagree with that.
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@Rutterman I'm rarely serious 😬
Not a white. A fine Pinot Noir. Preferably from Willamette Valley. Slightly chilled. Will complement the stronger taste of the fish sticks.
Every food deserves the very best wine pairing. Sante'.
Ferric67 · M
Grgich Hills (Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc) is your big winner, you'll never consider another white
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
I think you have a lot of flexibility to choose with that
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@DownTheStreet Thank you, my good man, I am terribly bad at choosing booze
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
Champagne. It goes great with fried food.
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
Penny · 46-50, F
Martini and Rossi Asti Spumante goes with everything
justanothername · 51-55, M
Probably a Chardonnay. It all comes down to individual preference.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
The idea of white with fish, etc., No longer is followed by all.
Mindful · 56-60, F
A type of white beer?
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@Mindful There's white beer?
Mindful · 56-60, F
@turnedtostone okay, light beer🤪
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Your kids drink wine 🤔
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@Adogslife do you think I'd waste good fish sticks on the kids?

[@Marine A classic
Scribbles · 36-40, F
Mix white wine with diet coke. I think that is probably the proper pairing for fish sticks and tater tots.

I'm kidding please don't try that.
Actually I think there might be a real drink that is wine and coke. Lol

turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout well you're missing out cuz I had Kraft macaroni and cheese, too
Oneofthestormboys · 100+, M
A nice Chardonnay or any smooth white wine. Not sharp, otherwise you won’t taste the fish properly 😊
justanothername · 51-55, M
Personally I prefer freshly caught fish over fish sticks.
Dshhh · M
that would be a bottle of white zinfandel under 5 bux

If you live near a Trader Joe's, from time to time they have Muscadet, (white) Vinho Verde, albariño and grüner veltliner for 6 USD or less that would all fit the bill
