Miller or Coors. Or get a fancy craft pilsner. Save the white wine for lightly sauced pasta.

@turnedtostone white wine with white flaky fish, yes. Fried, I would go for a white wine with a decent bite of acidity. Pino grigio if they list apple or pear in the taste. Or an unoaked chard. Or dry Riesling.

An oaky chard would be too buttery and wouldn't compliment the fried food.
