Fried is best. I like poached, but I don't know how to make them very well
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@calicuz water + vinegar.
Cinderellagirl · F
@calicuz me neither

I them all - probably have fried more. With poached you need a heavy-bottomed pan, get the water really hot, with a splash of white vinegar - before you slide the egg(s) in from a saucer. They only take a minute or 2

I like over easy fried eggs. Poached good too. Just made some orange pie with jello filling. No idea what it'll taste like tbh.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I usually have fried, but sometimes scrambled. I have not been successful at poached eggs either, but I have not tried very often.
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
Scrambled if I make them myself, restaurants like to load them with butter and cream so I choose poached.

Fried

I was told that only really fresh eggs can be poached. So it is healthier to order poached.
ArtieKat · M
@samueltyler2 I think that is a myth about the freshness

@bigworldtinyguy Only difference is just wilted spinach instead of ham/bacon. I also like "Royale" with smoked salmon.

Poached with hollandaise sauce.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@Cinderellagirl not at all. Eggs Benedict can be done with salmon. Traditionally it's ham, but you get variations like with spinach or artichoke.
Monalisasmith86 · F
@Cinderellagirl it has a fishy taste the salmon it wouldn’t do well with hollandaise sauce at all
Cinderellagirl · F
@basilfawlty89 good, coz I like to dip the salmon in the eggs 🙂
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
