What are your feelings about Burrata Cheese?

Raaii · 22-25, F
[c=BF0000] I love cheese
But I've no much knowledge about its varieties
Here at our homes we make our own cheese though [/c]
Raaii · 22-25, F
@thinkingoutloud [c=BF0000] I'm a student so now I'm living far from home
Life here is different 🙇‍♀️

No actually here at homes we only use cow milk
Nothing else
I've never tried anything else either
I love all sorts of home-made and local diary products

to prepare deshi ghee we just have to start with raw milk and add thick creamy curd( it's important)
add cold water and make it to butter water mixture
Then remove that butter from butter milk/ curd water / dahi
( We've a traditional instrument wooden just for this or these days I see people just use a grinder)
then we hit tht unsalted butter
It'll melt and we'll get ghee
we can always start from little
then with time n practice we'll be able to produce more and the quality gets better each time
And sorry
My english is pathetic 🙇‍♀️

@Raaii your English is fine. I've seen a documentary about how Ghee is made in traditional India and it was very interesting. But a lot of hard work.
Raaii · 22-25, F
@thinkingoutloud [c=BF0000]yes it's tough but it tastes the best 🙇‍♀️[/c]
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Elessar I'm having cravings for it right now. But with focaccia and pesto and chargrilled baby tomatoes.
ArtieKat · M
I love all cheese - but I have to own up that I've never had burrata. I'm going to have to investigate and do a taste test. :-)
@ArtieKat I hope you do. I bet you love it.
ArtieKat · M
@thinkingoutloud It sounds very interesting!
Camelia · F
Delicious; it goes great with salads, pizza, ravioli, flatbread, etc.
@Camelia Yes. Lol this is intensifying my craving.
Camelia · F
@thinkingoutloud Same. Lol
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
I thought you meant the bird..kookaburra. Wondering how the hell you make cheese out of that
@Longpatrol Lol that made me really laugh.
darknessprevails · 26-30, M
I've never tried it
darknessprevails · 26-30, M
@thinkingoutloud i promisewont hurl insults.. just snarky passive aggressive comments. 🤣
darknessprevails · 26-30, M
@thinkingoutloud i did a bit of research..

I have tried this cheese before. It was good. But i had ordered a salad that it came on. The salad was terrible. So the bad experience made the cheese bad in my eyes..
@darknessprevails I like it with a focaccia. The warm crunch of the focaccia against a softish cheese, drizzled with a light pesto and olive oil....now what's not to like about that?😂
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
After I annex the Mediterranean I will eat it everyday.
@GlitterEater take me with you!
hunkalove · 61-69, M
I'm agin it, dagnabit! I'm stickin' with Cheese Whiz!
SW-User
I never had it before.
@SW-User I really enjoy it with a good focaccia and chargrilled tomatoes with mild pesto. It can be enjoyed in a lot of ways. Hopefully you try it some time.
SW-User
@thinkingoutloud I should try it someday. It sounds tasty and I want to try new cheeses.
@SW-User It's a versatile cheese and I think it enhances the flavour of what you put on because it doesn't overpower it.
SW-User
I don't know her but she sounds like a lovely girl 🤔
@SW-User very lovely. She would look amazing on you. 😂
Kinda soft and squishy
@Stillwaiting Is that something you like?
@thinkingoutloud Not my favorite texture but I've liked the flavor
@Stillwaiting That's a win for the Burrata.
SW-User
I love it
So melty and perfect
@SW-User Yes!
SW-User
It's quite tasty, but I don't give it much thought.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
It's goddamn amazing.
@CountScrofula love that passion for Burrata!
Lostpoet · M
I like cheese
@Lostpoet I like some. I like Burrata.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
it's the worst cheese, it's like... wtf is the point with it
@MartinTheFirst well it is similar to mozzarella and has cream inside a harder texture. It's meant to take on the taste of what you eat it with while adding a lovely dairy fat content.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@thinkingoutloud have you tried white cheese? that's probably my favourite thing to have together with food, like maybe bread or a salad
@MartinTheFirst no. I haven't tried that but now I might.
lumberjackslam · 41-45, M
never had it. how do you serve it?
@lumberjackslam it's like a soft cheese but with a bit of structure. Softer than mozzarella. You can add it to salads, or pizzas or pasta or you can eat it as a dollop on a focaccia or something like that.
