What does it mean when you've eaten but are still hungry?

I've been feeling this way for about 2 days.
Can't recall what I ate yesterday, but today I had

6am Pumpkin/oatmeal pancake that I made.
6.30am ,hungry again so ate a small bowl of oatmeal with a spoon full of peanut butter.

8am-10am I snacked on dry Cheerios and green grapes.

11.30am quinoa, black bean, sweet potato, beef bowl

Afterwards I had more of the dry Cheerios.
I had a oatmeal peanut snack thingy, which has 17 grams of whole grain.

Had a side salad at 3pm.

It's 4 pm and I'm hungry.

It's like each time I eat, I'm feeling full, but minutes later I'm hungry again.

I've drank nearly 2 liters of water 🥴🤷‍♀️😩

Sounds like you need to add more protein and healthy fats so you feel more satisfied
@rokrchik1211 Bingo.
@rokrchik1211 100% this
Stop eating all carbs, or eliminate as many as you can , ditto for sugar.

Eat clean proteins and good fats (this should be the mainstay of your diet)
Also, eat fresh veggies, fruits and berries. Zero processed foods.

This is the way to have stable energy and you should, hopefully feel 'full' ... When I eat carbs i.e. pizza, it's like I can eat the entire dang thing and still in a bit, I will feel hungry.

( I can't link you to the scientific articles now, but there are many.)

Your body could be lacking in the nutrients those foods contain. You cold also be low on iron or B12. If you’ve been more active than usual recently, that could be it. Another possibility is that you are subconsciously stressed and are craving food because of “emotional eating”. Emotional eating is how people cope with the feelings they are not analyzing and facing. @iamnikki

@MissNoahLenFoxx Ive been taking B12 at work. Not an emotional eater, I'm hungry

Carbs don’t sate hunger well. Eat protein or cheese if you don’t have protein. Also eat high fibre fruits and vegetables. If you eat carbs eat whole grains which are higher in fibre . Butter on bread is more filling. Avocados are high in fat and also very filling.
Also, adding nuts, chickpeas, yogurt etc would be beneficial

@Justice4All I knew someone would say this lol

Yikes. If you're very active and burning a lot of calories, it may be nothing to worry about. However, if not, it could be something more serious like diabetes or hyperthyroidism. Best get it checked out by a doctor if it continues.

i'm the same but i find if i wait it out a bit my stomach gets the messege and turns off.
Odd...are you sure it isn't nervous or bored eating?
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
Sorry not being a vegan or vegetarian myself, I cannot relate to your question.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@iamnikki All I said is I cannot offer you any advice, and if you had not forgot your chicken, I would never have made a Vegan/vegetarian comment.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@WillaKissing I mentioned beef though. That isn't vegan. Have a great day

@iamnikki I went back and saw that, totally my mistake, Sorry.

Usually for me it means my blood sugars are low and I’m not getting enough carbs
@SW-User Are diabetic, pre-diabetic or suffer from hypoglycemia? I have one of these conditions.

The human animal's DNA is not actually created for our modern sugarized eating habits, no matter how you swing it.
Unless the OP is any of these, I would be very leery of advising her to consume even more sugar.
(And actually, in that case, she should seek the advice of a doctor, which someone has already pointed out.)
But usually, proteins and fats work perfectly, as they should, to sate these endless hunger pangs.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I wasn’t advising her to do anything. I’m type 1 diabetic and merely commented when I feel that way it is due to my blood sugars
@SW-User I am sorry to hear that. I am hypoglycemic.
I apologize, for misconstruing your message.
