Healthy eating is a myth

I had granola and yogurt for breakfast today and I'm still fat. AND it didn't even taste good 😝
fuzzyduck101 · 46-50, M
Fat free Greek yogurt mixed with honey, fresh strawberries and then top with some oats and chopped hazlenuts. Winner at breakfast time for me
Lostpoet · M
@fuzzyduck101 Sounds like what I used to do. I'd make an over the night oatmeal. which is just Irish oatmeal, four table spoons plain Greek yogurt, half cup frozen berry medley, raw almonds, two table spoons flaxseed, and some honey.
fuzzyduck101 · 46-50, M
@Lostpoet yes I adapted the original recipe that used rhubarb instead of strawberries.

This is the recipe

That is when you couple it with *gasp*
exercise!

Granola and yogurt typically have lots of hidden sugars and carbs. There are healthier choices but you’d have to get used to eating stuff that pretty much doesn’t taste good at all.
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@sdave455 oh, I am only kidding around. I eat some healthy stuff that tastes good but I'm not looking to change my habits really
sdave455 · 41-45, M
@Emele Yes that’s the right approach and it is working for me. I just don’t care if it tastes good or not anymore. The only thing that matters is whether or not it will keep me alive, feeling good and fit after I eat it. I hope you do really well!
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@sdave455 Thanks. It's a difficult thing for me, I like and embrace my size and didn't exactly get big on accident but I do know it isn't good for me. I'm just wired this way.
helenS · 36-40, F
Very strange. Usually people lose 20 lbs after eating a yougurt.
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@helenS Well yeah, that's what I was expecting. Maybe I did it wrong
Lostpoet · M
Granola isn't actually healthy. Nextime drink some kefir with grapefruit. You'll feel better.
Lostpoet · M
@Emele And you aren't fat
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@Lostpoet oh I unmistakeably am, I'm fine with that description
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@Lostpoet But thank you

I have asked the Residents over 100 in the Aged care Home I work what the secret to their longevity was. And they said not to Overthink or stress about things. Which makes a lot of sense. Most of my eating was stress related..
@Thevy29 That's awesome. I’ve seen some elderly around 104-105.

@NoGamesTolerated I'd want to die like old Jane. 99 she was. We had gotten her up in the morning, showered, dressed, gone through the large toy boxes of her jewellery. (she had 1 for earings, 1 for necklaces, 1 for bangles) She was ready for her daughter waiting outside. Told us to 'Piss off' and flipped us the bird as we left (her usual thing) and passed in that moment. Middle finger still raised.. What a women.
@Thevy29 wow 😮 The woman had spunk.. gotta give it to her…
pattycakechamp · 26-30, F
You needed just one more bit of granola. Now you'll never lose weight.
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@pattycakechamp Ah well at least I tried
Elessar · 26-30, M
Ikr, I fast *everyday* from 9pm to 7am and I still don't lose a gramme
Fluffybull · F
You could try eating more protein and fewer carbs.
revenant · F
granola is not that healthy and has lots of sugar
4meAndyou · F
Chobani is now making a yogurt that is fat free, lactose free, and sugar free!! AND it tastes sweet! (So they say!).

Try topping it with chopped unsalted tree nuts, like chopped almonds or chopped pecans, and only top with 1 tablespoon.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Granola and yogurt are pretty high in carbs and sugar.
Emele · 31-35, FVIP
@DearAmbellina2113 It seems everyone knows this but me 😅
SensualRomantic · 46-50, M
I like doing KETO. I eat delicious meat, chicken, fish, cheese, eggs and etc...

The best foods to eat are the foods that taste good.
Thodsis · 51-55, M
Of course it is. It's an industry.
PhaqueYou · M
That's not healthy eating.
