I had a casio G-Shock from the age of 12 to 25. Went swimming in the sea durinv a holiday and it somehow fell off. Sad :(

Got a new one for my birthday the next year and wore it till Dec 23'. Participated in the Health Promotion Boards active lifestyle program and they gifted me a Fitbit watch for free.

@Longpatrol I Still have a G Shock watch. Even though i dont wear it much.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
@BeachGirl47 they're hardy and still cool
BeachGirl47 · 26-30, F
@Longpatrol You know it

Seiko's "Grand Seiko," is probably better quality than most and the most accurate time keeping Watch you'll ever own.

@Iwillwait I have an old Seiko type 2, runs like new!
Iwillwait · M
@Quetzalcoatlus Great watches.

My clock is called a Sonim XP8 running Android over the top of embedded Linux. 8-) Haven't worn a proper watch in over 30 yrs since I first got a mobile phone (and still have the original number to this day).

@zonavar68 Do or did you serve in the Military?
ffony · M
A nice plain Roamer, quite expensive in my terms at the time; bought in Bern in 1954. It only lasted about 10 years. Now I use Timex :).

ETA: off-topic or maybe not, I was really sorry when Zippo went out of business
Quetzalcoatlus · 46-50, M
@ffony Many good times with Zippo. They were great for approaching women who might need a light.

Timex is the only watch i have ever owned ,, i now have an indigo ironman watch for the last 15 years ,,
ArishMell · 70-79, M
None of the above. Nothing "special" or "brand".

I had to look as I'd not bothered about it.

It's a LORUS "Sports" analogue - not that the second (model) name means anything to do with any sports or outdoor pursuits.

I bought it from Argos, as I recall; but I can't remember when. It's on its third cell.

I'm not sure where it is but I've also what had been my Grandad's watch. I don't know its make but that is a fully mechanical one and still works.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
3 or 4 but it doesnt give me that option. I dnt wear any if them anymore
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Why limited to only one? I have 4:timepieces.
Only a Garmin watch.
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
I've been wearing a Citizen EcoDrive for over 20 years. I think it keeps time to better than 10 sec/month. I have to adjust it for 30 day months pretty often; that's the biggest annoyance.
exexec · 61-69, C
Seiko, Citizen, and Timex. I wear a Citizen watch unless I'm doing work that might damage it, and then I wear a Timex.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
Audemars Piguet
SandWitch · 26-30, F
I don't own a watch. If you carry a cellphone which displays perfect time, why would you wear a watch as well, unless of course you need a second opinion?
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@SandWitch I think the idea is that wearing of watches and other sorts of 'bling' is a status indicator.
chrisCA · M
@SandWitch It is about the total appearance. Accessories can make a world of difference.
SandWitch · 26-30, F
@chrisCA
...accessories like navel piercings too?
