I don't own a watch. If you carry a cellphone which displays perfect time, why would you wear a watch as well, unless of course you need a second opinion?

@SandWitch Even better don't have a watch and leave the mobile phone at home when you go out unless you absolutely need it (like at work, as I do work stuff with my personal phone as a refuse to have a work-supplied device).

It was a personal phone I was referring to, not a work-supplied phone. Why would you leave a cellphone at home when you go out? Isn't carrying it with you the reason we buy the damn things?

@SandWitch I'm not addicted to my mobile devices - I can live without them!

Okay, so you suggest I don't wear a watch and I leave my mobile phone at home. How will I know when it's time to go home... when the street lights come on?

@SandWitch Watches are now more of a fashion accessory. They compliment a person's appearance.

Okay, so if I want to compliment the appearance of my face, should I wear the watch duct taped to my forehead?

If a watch is presumably worn on one's wrist, how can a watch compliment a person's appearance?
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@SandWitch I think the idea is that wearing of watches and other sorts of 'bling' is a status indicator.
chrisCA · M
@SandWitch It is about the total appearance. Accessories can make a world of difference.

...accessories like navel piercings too?
