Jeans today are too stretchy. They feel cheap. I try to find older jeans made of real denim. Levi's, Wranglers, Bongo or Jordache

@beckys501s
Yes i agree there is nothing better than quality jeans.
1490wayb · 56-60, M
@beckys501s dont forget the bib overalls!!

itsok · 31-35, F
I’m not a jeans fan. I don’t like how they feel on. Over the last few years I’ve gotten rid of them
@itsok True story. When jeans were first introduced, people refused to wear them. They felt too rough.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@itsok I`m wearing them for you. 😚
Camelia · F
It's probably just the way Americans wear them; most of them, let's be honest, aren't very fashion conscious.
@Camelia I wear them very well thank you. 😤😤😤
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
they're falling out of favor because they're all made in China...

a good pair of jeans used to last so long, they got passed down to relatives; now you're lucky to get a pair that lasts one season...
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Tetsuya I am almost in one pair of those jeans, have lost a lot of weight since the first of the year.
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
@cherokeepatti I was at a 42" waist about 10 years ago and have dropped to a 36" waist by watching what I eat, the big thing was cutting out HFC
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Tetsuya I’ve lost 2 jeans sizes so far, had to order a smaller pair of Lee’s a couple weeks ago. The others were sagging down when I put my phone in my pocket.
SW-User
Yea joggers seem to be replacing Jeanes for casual wear.
ArtieKat · M
@SW-User That's an interesting point. Joggers became popular in the 1980s when I was running nightclubs. Everywhere that I knew of had strict door policies that would not allow them. So, the question is: does "popular" equate to "fashionable"? I personally think not.....
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User Joggers are more comfortable at home and to exercise and walk in.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
Well what are we suppose to wear instead of jeans
SW-User
@smileylovesgaming That is a good question, maybe jogging pants something i don't like.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@SW-User leggings are a good choice
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
i don't care because i wear what i want, not what's in trend, that's my motto.
Nimbus · M

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User I like Lee and Wrangler but have worn some other brands too.
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
skinny stretchy jeans are hopefully going away
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Tetsuya I like the stretchy jeans for me. I’m into comfort a lot more than when I was young. Spoiled by it in fact.
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
@cherokeepatti those aren't real jeans, they are just made to look like them
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
gee all I wear is jeans
HannahSky · F
@JimboSaturn get with it, sweats are in
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@HannahSky I wouldn't be caught dead wearing sweats out besides exercising.
HannahSky · F
@JimboSaturn I know what you mean
Scarlett7Moore · 22-25, M
Jeans have been a staple of fashion for decades and continue to be a versatile and enduring choice for many. While fashion trends evolve, and new styles and preferences emerge, jeans remain a popular and timeless option. Denim is a durable and adaptable fabric, making jeans suitable for various occasions, from casual to semi-formal.
Blondily · F
I wear jeans and will until the day I die.
acpguy · C
I still wear jeans and in our part of the country it is mostly soy boys that you see wearing what look like tights maybe to show off their butts to other boys. A lot of the jocks wear sweat pants or shorts; we live in a college town that is big on football.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@acpguy a lot of people wear jeans in Oklahoma…ranchers, cowboys, farmers, blue-collar workers, but also the young people with their shredded jeans and saggy britches.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I don’t think so but this boy refuses to wear them at high school because he says that the boys who wear them are linked to gangs. He wanted to buy cargo pants instead for cold weather.
elafina · 36-40, F
@cherokeepatti he's in high school already?! I always pictured him younger..
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@elafina He’s 16 now.
elafina · 36-40, F
@cherokeepatti time passes by quickly!..
yugimotodm · 26-30, M
I still like wearing jeans
I don't follow fashion...
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
I don't think so.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
Originally jeans were work clothes, adopted by hippies because they were inexpensive, and anti "establishment." In the 70's nearly eeryone lived in jeans and t-shirts.

But after 50 years people are ready for a change. I think Jeans will always be around, perhaps more for their original purpose as rugged work clothes, rather than everyday wear.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@ArtieKat Newspaper columnist Herb Caen mentioned 'beatniks" wearing jeans in the 1950's. He said before that the only people he saw wearing jeans were Mexican laborers.
ArtieKat · M
@badminton Read Kerouac - a first hand account.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@ArtieKat I've read On the Road, The Subterraneans, Dr. Sax.
exexec · 61-69, C
I have never worried about being in style, so I will keep wearing jeans when it's too cold for shorts.
Nah, they're too adaptable. When the weather is changing, it's the best outfit.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
I always hated jeans. they're too heavy and stiff. also yes, i agree
SW-User
@DeluxedEdition only one thing should be heavy and stiff on you...
Everyone I know and a lot of people I see irl wear jeans
ArtieKat · M
The death of jeans has been predicted for the last 70 years.......
Never.

Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
I have no idea, I have ditched jeans many years ago. There's so many other fabrics and models of pants I prefer more.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I hope the ripped jeans will go out of style. Didn’t think it would last but maybe 3 years.
chrisCA · M
Jeans are a classic wardrobe item.
It depends on how you wear them.
ChrissyGal · 36-40
You see plenty of ripped ones!!
I hardly ever wear jeans though
HannahSky · F
No, they're becoming more expensive
allygator18 · 22-25, F

Dirtyboyy67 · 56-60, M
Stop watching the office.
Perhaps skinny jeans 🤷‍♂️

Willyp063 · 61-69, M

I love my jeans. I consider most "fashion" overrated, anyway.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M

HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
