I think bc a celebrity is someone known/recognized by many; it becomes almost a bonding experience to learn of and acknowledge a famous person’s death with others on social media. It is a way for people to understand death and loss together, and what that may look or feel like for various people.

Those who use the phrase “who cares” usually care way more than they should, to the level they have to point it out for everyone to hear. But just as you get to choose to show that side of yourself others get to show the remorse they have for people they’ve never met who touched them in some way.

You don't have to know someone for their life to have meant something in yours.

If it bothers you so much, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to just ignore and overlook it.

It's your choice to be annoyed and irritated by this.

I don't really care about that stuff either, most probably do it because it's fun to share news, but some people have very high levels of empathy (maybe a little too much).

Its called having sympathy. And its part of what makes us human. The way that the world is going today we need every ounce that we can get.

People post what interests them.

Entertainment has persons well-known across the planet, and not having another performance from some is sad.

People feel sad and they wish to share their feelings. Someone out there cares

People who whine about people's posts that don't harm them in anyway, instead of just not reading it.

Well, obviously those who respond to those posts care.
