So true... It's very weird when old men dye their hair, get fillers in their faces and spray tans, are 20 to 30 years older than me and and date women 10 years younger than me. They really need a wrinkle or two and a silver hair or more to look normal. And then they think it's the work that they've had done that makes them a contender, but it's the money every single time. But yeah... all people with extensive aesthetic work look... plastic

Except Jennifer Aniston, she must have a good plastic surgeon or I noticed her pics are always filtered. Otherwise they all look freaky. Just get old folks!

I consider cosmetic surgery to be a form of gender-affirming surgery that helps people feel more "feminine" or "masculine" as the case may be. I wonder if trumpsters realize they're trying to make it illegal too!!

@ElwoodBlues I agree they are both plastic surgery. Why would one get covered by insurance and the other not? They both make the person feel better about themselves. Mommy makeovers after childbirth aren’t covered. It’s fair that everyone has to pay for their own plastic surgery unless it’s from some type of tragic circumstance.

not true. i have had cosmetic surgery for medical reasons. i look the same but i function better. not everything is aesthetic
Morvoren · F
@akindheart Yes but that’s different. I’m talking about people who do it to affect their looks - which is aesthetic.
People who have cosmetic surgery don't look younger, they just look like people who have had cosmetic surgery.

Seriously, their phones should pop the message up , “What were you thinking?” When they try to unlock with Face ID. Or maybe, “ Sorry, only human faces allowed”

It doesn't last long, the skin sags after awhile, I have seen that happen to people.

Hollywood style, for sure, end up looking awful.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
should anyone do a remake of Frankenstein, they could cast Mickey Rourke as the monster... no makeup/costume needed...🤔
Morvoren · F
@wildbill83 He might be different - was that reconstructive surgery after an injury?
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@Morvoren what injury, a few minor scrapes after falling off a skateboard?
Morvoren · F
@wildbill83 No he was a boxer apparently and he had bone damage to his skull and jaw.

actors who get surgery to alter their appearance due to Hollywood pressure. curious for a female perspective. Erin Moriarty and Olivia Munn for example.
i think it's really sad and i can't imagine the pressure these actors experience that would drive them to make these permanent life altering changes. if i had a child i'd arm them with an unreasonable sense of self confidence and to distrust of anyone who told them they were ugly or didn't fit in.
