What have you learned about yourself from being a parent?

I'm a great Mom to my son. .I just did the opposite if what my Mom did

Regardless what they do you still love them!!

That the love I feel for her is deeper than I’ve ever thought it would be

my parents self restraint was legendary...

How crazy strong I am

Is being a fur-parent accepted? Lol

I learned that I needed more patience.

And when I developed that patience, I learned that I could be a positive force in kids' lives (not just my own kids).

1. Unconditional love is a real thing.

2. The emotional responsibilities I carried as a child were the adults' responsibility at that time, not mine.

It gave me a deeper appreciation for the kind of parents we had and even more determination to do well by my kids. I know I wasn't perfect, but feel so blessed by the outcome.

I am still impatient.

You are more like your parents than you realize you are.

nothing yet but as adults we learn to understand our patients and what they were going through when we were kids.. sigh

I learned how vulnerable I was to the possibility of something bad happening to another person.

It’s not as difficult as people say, and you can reconnect with your own childhood by having new adventures with your kids.

How much I missed in my childhood, during which I was mostly bedridden or isolated.
