Why do people say having children like after 35 is a bad thing?

Women can have babies until their bodies decide they can't. My mother had a daughter at 50 yrs old. My sister and sister in law both had babies at 49. It is harder to conceive as we age, and there is greater chance of abnormalities in the pregnancy and birth. The doctors watch you more carefully as you age. If you aren't ready, look into storing some of your eggs.

Because there are health risks associated with advanced parental age, from both the father and the mother. Those risks increase as they get older, and it’s still only a small increase. Many people over 35 have healthy, normal kids. Just look at Robert Deniro, he’s like 500 years old and is having seemingly healthy children. But the risk is there.

First you need to understand about the increased risk of having a downs baby, then you have to consider having a teen when you are 60 . Most can't support their needs financially at that age.

Health wise it's better when you are young................And no one whats to hear someone say 'Oh, it was nice that you invited your grandmother to the high school graduation ceremony'...........

My understanding is that, statistically, pregnancies when over 35 are riskier to both mom and baby.

I had my son when I was 37, bad idea, I was super sick, developed gestational diabetes, had a c-section and it took over a year for my body to start normalizing out, plus I’m 50 with a 13 year old, I don’t have the freedom I should have at this age. I also have a daughter who is 24. Have them younger!

When it comes to pregnancy, the success rate depends on your age and health. It's a lot riskier in your 40's and 50's, a woman's body might not be ok to handle it. I wouldn't wait too long to have kids though, your eggs will decline as you get older too.

I looked up about a woman's age and eggs and how are they related in a way. Turns out that by the time a woman is 30, or not long before then, [b]90%[/b] [b]of her eggs are gone[/b]. It'll get worse from there.

But not all women will have pregnancy issues in their middle ages, some can have a healthy baby or rarely twins.

In my opinion, I would think about having kids around 25 or so. That is when your "biological clock" is ticking. I could be wrong, but having a baby is your choice.

I'm 43, and I honestly don't know if I would have the energy for a newborn.

I wasn't anywhere close to ready at 21 and am so glad we waited another decade because I was far more mature and educated.

They say that the later you have kids the more chance of autism. New studies suggest that it also depends on the man’s sperm too. If he jerks off too much he isn’t giving his best. Be careful who you couple with

The kids themselves are sicker and tend to not reproduce.
But whatever. Paying for your own and not someone else's is sacred. Girls won't mate until sickness is more likely because jobs. Yup. That's not a genocide! Yup.

People feel justified to be judgemental. It’s an entitled mindset.

i cant imagine having a newborn at this age im at now or even a few years ago. For me 22 years old was the perfect age to have my child.

I dont wanna change nappies when I’m 40….
