Why do people say having children like after 35 is a bad thing?

Why do people have children very young like 17-22. In 21 and I’m not ready for kids. I don’t have the guts to be a mom. My cousin is 43 and having her first child’s she’s getting criticized for waiting so late to have children. She was I think 39 when she got married.

I had my son when I was 37, bad idea, I was super sick, developed gestational diabetes, had a c-section and it took over a year for my body to start normalizing out, plus I’m 50 with a 13 year old, I don’t have the freedom I should have at this age. I also have a daughter who is 24. Have them younger!
