Why do people say having children like after 35 is a bad thing?

Why do people have children very young like 17-22. In 21 and I’m not ready for kids. I don’t have the guts to be a mom. My cousin is 43 and having her first child’s she’s getting criticized for waiting so late to have children. She was I think 39 when she got married.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I don’t want to either. I guess my dad wasn’t so smart because he was 46 when I was born, but was smart in the beginning when my half brother was born. He was 27. He was I think 31 when my sister was born.
