I don't see why bringing up wanting kids or marriage is a bad thing on a first date. It doesn't mean they wanna make a baby or get married immediately, it just means that's what they hope a future relationship goes for.

Well, I don't know thing one when it comes to marriage talk: how to prepare for it, when to bring it up, how to start the conversation, etc. But, based on my experience, you should first consider if marriage is something you are willing to follow through on. Most people think it's just a casual topic for conversation and before they know it, they are stuck in a decision they never really wanted in the first place. Just some food for thought.
